A new development.... looks like we're now criticising refs before the game has even kicked off! :err:

And given we’ve had previous with this guy the problem with that is what exactly?

It's this whole assumption by some fans that certain refs are out to get their team. That's what I don't like. It's bad for the game, as it means that decent referees give up on the profession and that has the effect of reducing the quality overall.

We've had this discussion on here before. Refs are human and they make mistakes. Sometimes these mistakes go against our teams. Refereeing football matches is difficult and some refs are better at it than others.

Refs are also used much more these days to blame for results, rather than fans, coaches or players accepting that maybe the team weren't good enough to win on the day.

All fair and reasonable points. For the record I don’t think there’s a game this season we’ve lost because of the referee. There are certain things I would have like handled differently but it’s more a systemic thing in football than down to the individuals. One such thing is I assume the 6 second rule still exists and I want it enforced both on us and the opposition but that’s probably a separate discussion.

In Allison’s case it was just such an egregiously bad performance the instant reaction was the same one used to reserve for Kettle. If he proves it unfounded I will gladly say so.

The 6 second rule should be changed to 10 seconds but if not released in that time it’s indirect free kick to the opposition. Our pod suggested it and not a bad idea. Soon sort the time wasting.

Just the 3 youth players on the bench today with Harry Burgoyne starting in goal today. Lump on MK as they should stick 3 or 4 past us with that team today!

Not a bad starting line up but only 6 subs again with not much experience. It'll be a tough old afternoon. Norwood will probably score

Pretty standard looking Vale lineup only real thing of note is Liam McCarron has the start over Mal Benning. Look forward to seeing how he gets on for us (and if he fails he’s a useless Stoke twat :)).

A couple of changes for us, Liam Palmer drops into the back three replacing the injured Reece James, Alex Mighten covers Palmers spot at RWB and Lee Gregory in for Tyreece Bakinson, very attacking.

After 74 games or whatever it is we get a penalty and fucking miss it. The most Vale thing ever that

We’ve come back into it after a very good start by Derby overall.

Morecambe and FGR beating Ipswich and Bolton respectively. How many had that on their coupon?

Either that or it turns out after a good couple of games that we are actually shit as well. Last game and a half we have been terrible.

Can FGR return to being shit please? You're screwing up may acca.

Speaking of shit, Cambridge continuing our awful run of form but at least we've equalised through a penalty.

Sounds like a mistake making 5 changes and dropping Burns. Hopefully I’m wrong, but a poor decision by McKenna so far

Hoping our wastefulness in front of goal doesn't come back to haunt us for the second game running.

That’s what we did midweek and now we appear to have lost all momentum we had

1-0 down but I think it’s been a really good game. We’ve hit back well but you can see the quality Derby possess in the final third.

Really bad miss from the spot by Conlon otherwise things would be looking better.

Well we threw away a lead to lose against 10 man Burton last week, so not at all confident we’ll see this one through tbf. Bolton must have more about them then this.

2-0 up at HT.

Seriously, how shit are the Franchise!?!?!? Never expected this. ANOTHER injury in though in Pennington coming off. It’s laughable at this point.

We’ll still lose second half.

Plenty of the ball but we aren’t doing anything with it. It’s all well and good being a possession based team but you have you have to create chances. Created nothing midweek either. Different story at home but away we are really poor atm

no pens for 74 games and then 2 come along at once!

1-1

No mistake on that one.

Like London buses but out hard work has paid off there. Need to be on it now. We can win this.

Yeah you’ve had loads of the ball, but it’s mainly in safe areas. We aren’t a pressing side so are happy to sit off and let you have it. Your set pieces haven’t been great either.

Derby now down to ten men. Collins goaded into something off the ball by Nathan Smith.
