Decimated by injuries and call ups.
Playing Cox up front and 16 year old Jake Richards makes his debut.
Not confident.
Scott to score winner off the bench!

At least the youthful players should have the energy to run in this heat!!

We've struggled so far, fell behind after allowing Reid an unmarked tap in from 6 yards but are level through Sean Maguire with our first effort on goal. Kayode putting himself about, Steve Evans whinging at the ref... exactly what you'd expect really.

Controlled the opening half hour. Sotiriou missed a sitter. We’ve hit the bar twice. I think we all know how this ends.

Could be 3 of 4 up here, hit the bar twice and missed an absolute sitter, such a one sided first half, Exeter 1-0 win on the cards, classic us.

I know we have only played half a dozen games but I was expecting a bit more from a top of the table side

1 0 Exeter.
Lovely strike but f*** me, so undeserved.
Cursed season for us so far.

Don't deserve anything from this, but fairly sure Drysdale just gave a free kick for a foul which took place inside the box.

This is going to be a very long season.

2-1 to Orient, first away win of the season, first win at Exeter for 1,200 years and both our wins have come against the league leaders.

Fully deserved, thought we bossed every element of the game today, by far the better team, very relieved to be heading back to the smoke with 3 points.

I don't know how Stevenage didn't beat us today because we got absolutely battered. Our keeper we have to thank.

But I'll gladly take that last minute point.

Well happy with that point. I’d say it’s our poorest performance of the season (in league games anyway) so far and it’s the first game where I’ve felt the opposition were miles better than us.

We take the point, be grateful for it and move on.

Interesting to note that, although the table is embryonic, 6 of the 7 sides we’ve played so far are in the top half and the other game was away at Charlton when we had 8 or 9 injuries. Been a tough start. We’ve not exactly hit the ground running but I’m still not scared of anything in this division (except from being sat on by Steve Evans).

After next week (another top half side) we will also have played 5 of our first 8 games away from home, tough start indeed.

Similar for us - the only sides that have beaten us are in the top 7. We've got a tough task ahead, starting at 8th placed Lincoln next week...

I don’t want to go into pessimistic mode, but this early in the season they are in the top 7 because they’ve beaten us.

2-2 draw. Feels like 2 points dropped, decent performance by Andresson in goal for Carlisle. Ultimately if you don't take your chances you always risk things not going your way. Guess we're doing alright, I'm sat here disappointed we've gone top by only a point rather than three!

Oh absolutely. I would take 5th bottom right now. Anything higher would be a nice bonus.

Your players’ physical condition impressed me.

In 30+ degree heat, they looked that much quicker, stronger and more athletic than us. You smashed us off the pitch really and we were very fortunate to come away with a point. Definitely two points dropped for you.

Daylight robbery today. We were second best all over the pitch. Other than the goals, I remember one long range effort from Moxon, and one free kick (which should have been a penalty, the contact was definitely inside the box) which caused you problems. On the flip side, you hit the bar, had one (rightly) chalked off for offside, and Andresson made 6 or 7 excellent saves.

Very impressed with you, the only side to genuinely play us off the park so far this season.

Got to be an encouraging sign for Carlisle how they fell behind twice but still managed to get something away from home. Truth be told the moment they fell behind I didn’t think they had it in them to bounce back so to do it twice is pretty impressive.

It's a shame we can't compete with the big budgets of massive clubs like Stevenage, but that's just how it is.

We were poor today and Orient deserved the win. I like Pigott a lot. Took his goal well and was a handful. Could’ve been a couple of goals down at half time and Woods made a worldie save midway through the second half too.

Our goal to take the lead from Mitchell was outrageous but we didn’t capitalise at all. Orient’s winner was a good strike but no way Woods should have let it in. But no complaints as we rode our luck big time.

Missing so many key players was a blow but I wanted the likes of Cox to take their chance and they didn’t. Jake Richards at 16 did great and wanted the ball, so fair play but too many poor performances from us.

Hopefully we’ll have a fair few back next week v Cheltenham and we can bounce back.

I’d say we competed with them today. Granted they have better players and were superior, but it’d be wrong to say we weren’t competitive.

How have Stevenage built a very competitive team? Bonkers that we've had to scrabble around the bargain basement bin to create a half decent team and Stevenage on much smaller crowds, smaller infrastructure, smaller corporate, far less shirt and merchandise sales, can create a highly competitive league 1 team. Something just doesn't sit right for me.

Their owner invests in them and has done for a long time, it’ll only be a problem for them if/when he stops doing it. We’ve hardly been limited to bargain bucket signings either. The likes of Iacovittti, Chislett or say Devine on loan (who we outbid Wigan for) won’t have come cheap.
