it's not something they can really argue too much with either - as the pitch is actually in Wales
Spent many a year living in meanee Barracks and seen all over Colchester....lovely place....granted most of it was spent in the Wagon and HorsesI’m surprised Colchester is seen as nice…
What kind of hellholes are you guys living in?
Went there for Forest vs Brighton last season with a mate. Was led to believe on one of these away day guide sites that it was an away bar, only to walk into a sea of red! Great pub though (Beer garden in particular) and no trouble from anyone.
As a student there, I can definitely see the appeal for an away day, loads of good pubs of varying types in a condensed space, the grounds are nearby and if you wanna make a night of it you're spolit for choice.
Would even say that if you are going Mansfield its better if you stop off in Notts before and after the game. as I found out from some travelling Gillingham fans.
Looks big now that first main arches are up.By the time you visit this season our new 2 million quid Fan Park should be open although at this stage it`s not been announced whether away fans will be allowed in but as they were allowed in the "tent" I can`t see why not.
There's a reason why most of our Northern towns and cities are classed as shitholes but the common denominator isn't any fault of our own.
Apologies for the politics I've probably had one to many on my holiday!
You think you can even get a pint round our way??Tbh it’s not northern based, look at newport, gillingham, colchester to start, even worse - the same dump just a more expensive pint
New drainage and new pitch over the summer so the theory is that shouldn’t happen this timeWith the rain around on Saturday, will there be any tin pot grounds that can’t stand the deluge?
Grimsby had a game called off last season in August.

Lightning threat for us according to the beeb. Certainly wouldn’t want to be under our tin in a thunderstorm! With the rain around on Saturday, will there be any tin pot grounds that can’t stand the deluge?

We had a game called off last August against Accrington following heavy rain. I'd not entirely rule that out as a possibility this Saturday....
We have some awful summers up here don't we but this is out on his own for pure greyness and rain day in day out.Possibly, it’s been raining in the northwest since june.

The irony of Mansfield calling our pitch tinpot! With the rain around on Saturday, will there be any tin pot grounds that can’t stand the deluge?

Our pitch is superb now all year round, took some money like.
I'll take this over last summer's heatwaves any day of the weekWe have some awful summers up here don't we but this is out on his own for pure greyness and rain day in day out.
whats ironic about it, out of interest? The irony of Mansfield calling our pitch tinpot!
Rumour is that Croasdale is out injured which means we’re screwed.
