ach, run of the mill linesman decision up here.

As for the technology....won't be up and running any time soon....SFA & SPFL say it is unaffordable.
Indeed, if money bags English teams say they can't afford it us paupers here in Scotland certainly couldn't.

The bucket? :P

Derek McIness should've been their #1 target. Let's see if they go for him now.

you think the SFA will go for him ? Can't see it myself & I doubt very much if he would leave Aberdeen. He's got a great relationship with the chairman and the fans.

Well he has been there a while, maybe it's time for him to try something new. You're right though, so far there has been no inclination from the SFA to go in for him, but I don't know where they turn to next.

didn't see even any highlights of last night's game but by all accounts a decent 2-0 home win against Aberdeen. Apparently very decent performances from new boys Murphy and Goss with Morelos again scoring plus a penalty from Tavernier. Jason Cummings on loan from Forest is a very decent signing and should bang in a few. I've liked Cummings since he was at Hibs and hopefully he can be made permanent just like Declan John who has been a great acquisition! Away to Ross County on Sunday and it's games like this that there must be no slip ups.

Dundee beaten at home against Lennon's (who a family member absolutely detests) Hibs. Was expecting it tbh, we just can't seem to claw our way out of trouble this season.

Game of two halfs at Dingwall yesterday. I thought Rangers played some decent stuff and were very assertive 1st half yesterday and went in at halftime 0-1 in front. Second 45 was different and Ross County came into the game more. I thought Morelos should have been subbed long before he was as he was out of sorts yesterday & contributed nowt & Cummings coming on turned the game when he scored a fine goal. County pulled one back courtesy of the spot. Three points is three points. Can't complain.

Had a drive up to Shielfield Park to watch Berwick Rangers vs Peterhead. Great entertainment considering it was a Scottish League Two match.
Unfortunately Berwick lost 3-2, they were unlucky after going 2-0 down not to grab a draw like. But Peterhead were fairly strong at time's dominating most of the game.

Ousman See looks to have a good future ahead of him, easily Berwick,s best player on the night, with movement and electric pace.
One or two Peterhead players looked pretty comfortable on the ball, btw, it was antarctic weather absolutely freezing when we got to the ground.

Very friendly clubhouse to have a few beers, before we stood in the freezing cold to watch the game. Decent game I quite enjoyed it.

Not many Peterhead fans their, i think i counted 3?

Not surprised tbh & that isn't a criticism. Just under a 450 mile round trip on a freezing Tuesday afternoon/evening. The three you mention were, perhaps, local Peterhead fans....

a win up in Fraserburgh last night in the Scottish Cup. 0-3 thanks to a Josh Windass hattrick. Pleased to see this lad is coming on to a game. Away to Ayr in the next round a week on Sunday.

From a personal point of view....Murrayfield and I'd also use it for cup finals.
I'd prefer Murrayfield too. Went there for the Six Nations a few years back and it was a cracking day.

The Management and Stadium situations are both equally disappointing.

The solution should be that we build a new national stadium with funding from the SFA and taxpayers. Nations where football is significantly less popular, e.g. Wales, England and Ireland can boast recent new national stadiums. There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't have one as well.

Other options such as redeveloping Hampden to remove running track, or using Ibrox seem to be off the table.

Moving to Murrayfield would be the worst option of the lot. Moving to a smaller population centre and a stadium that is even less suited to football than Hampden.

Also, there would be an issue of the West of Scotland having by the far the most football fans, yet not the national stadium.

As for the manager - with the best option gone, we need some rich fools (maybe the recent Euromillions winners?) to get us someone good like Prandelli. It surely won't be Gary Caldwell. It worked for Ireland, lets start a letter writing campaign to those with too much money and too little sense.

I didn't realize Peterhead was such a long journey, that's some trip 450 mile. I think i saw the player's coach pull in with a couple of supporters getting off with blue scarfs on. Possibly they went in the seating area, protection from the freezing wind.

Failing at Chesterfield yet still feeling that he’s entitled to apply for the Scotland job is a sad statement about the prominence of the Scotland manager’s job.

Anyone could apply for the Scotland job - you could if you wanted to - it means nothing.

If Gary Caldwell gets the job then, yes, that doesn't look great. It would almost as ridiculous as a failure of a club manager, and average carthouse defender, getting an international job because they are the cheap option, and the the relevant association lack any kind of imagination.

I wonder where on earth something like that could have already happened?!?

Mind you Germany haven't done too badly with a manager who was never a top player or club manager.

I may be way off beam here but I imagine he's having a dig at England and Southgate. Don't get me wrong, I'm making no judgement as to Southgate's ability as a defender, more that he wasn't a success at Boro and he was a defender....now boss of England.

Yeah, I gathered that too!
Knowing obtuseness doesn't translate very well on an internet talkboard..
I'd take issue at Southgate being described as a carthorse defender though.

Well just when you think there is a wee chink of light at the end of the tunnel the faraway door slams shut and you start thinking....shit! Anyway, beaten 1-2 at home to Hibs yesterday. Didn't see the game so can't comment on what transpired throughout the 90 minutes but I saw the brief highlights on SSN this morning. Hibs took the lead with a great long range strike from John McGinn and we equalised courtesy of a fine freekick from loanee Sean Goss (very decent player) then about a fucking minute later Tavernier makes a totally needless tackle on Allan who was going away from goal and gives away a penalty which was converted. I felt that this game was a great opportunity to claw back three points on Celtic seeing they lost at Killie earlier in the day. Aberdeen certainly took advantage of that by winning against Hamilton but alas Rangers couldn't. Once again Cummings was left on the bench until later in the 2nd half. I really want this guy to be starting games and imo yesterday was a great opportunity against his former club.

Mulumbu looks like he’s been the signing of the season in the SPL. Killie couldn’t win at home before Steve Clarke’s appointment as manager and now they’ve won 5 in a row at Rugby Park.

Dundee getting gubbed at home 4 - 1 by the bottom side Ross County. Ffs! Was a chance to put good distance between the two sides, but no, the gap is down to five points. At least Utd are struggling in the championship, that's something at least!

Yeah was reading that the other day. They are needing a real shake up, though hopefully for the worse over the next few years. :D

Clarke has most certainly done very well since taking over so much so that he's being touted for the Scotland job. Personally I hope he remains at Killie and continues as he has done. You never know, it may make the league more competitive....;)
