Why are you bothering to write these heads gone replies? It looks awful, and can't be good for your stress levels.

Just answer the question.

Managers talk nonsense all the time, has there ever been a time when a Rangers manager has said something you don't agree with / think is nonsense?

You won't answer that, of course, but I'm interested to see what you punch out your keyboard next.

Reading elsewhere that Hearts & Rangers have come to an agreement on a fee for Kyle Lafferty's transfer. Don't how much (if any) truth in this but we'll see. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Tbh I wasn't overly impressed with him in his previous stint at Ibrox but since then when I've seen him in internationals for Northern Ireland he has been excellent and since coming to Hearts he has done the biz for them so if it happened it would certainly give back up to Morelos.

45 minutes for Celtic to get a goal and at least force extra time in Greece - can it be done?

As it turned out....no. Didn't see the game so cannot comment on how Celtic played but according to Rogers his defence was not up to par....but even Celtic fans have been screaming this from the rooftops over the past couple of seasons. The game was lost in Glasgow last week by losing the dreaded away goal and being unable to score more than one. They now drop into the Europa play offs.

Of course Rogers has been making noises about a lack of spending - will he stay on beyond the end of the season I wonder?

Publicly he has been saying yes but the media have been putting their own spin on his comments regards the lack of backing. Obviously he couldn't/wouldn't come out in an interview and criticise Lawwell directly.

He's using it as an excuse to take the pressure off him - they broke their transfer record to sign Edouard.

He clearly hasn't managed Boyata well.

Celtic should certainly not expect to be in the CL group stages, aspire to but not expect it. They should have done better against AEK Athens but it's hardly a shock result.

Not a lot tbh mate. Scottish League 1....3rd place at the moment having lost against Montrose at home last Saturday but winning 1-3 away from home against Forfar. Finished 7th last season in the same league. I occasionally watch National League fixtures and thoroughly enjoy them & I've seen Sutton on 2 or 3 occasions. I wouldn't imagine Airdrie will pose too much of a problem for your team but then again I'm a shit predictor. I just feel a decent NL team (were youse top or near top for a good part of last season?) will have too much for them.

We finished 3rd last season (Boreham Wood came 4th, hence the invites) and we’re currently 3rd on 10 points (although we have 5 games before Airdree, so that could change)

Why has this all of a sudden become a thing? Bit of an unwelcome distraction for both clubs?

A great result for Rangers in the away leg against Maribor. Can't comment on how the play went as I never seen it (have it recorded & will watch it later) but from what I've read they were under pressure for the majority of the match but our defence held firm with the bonus of a penalty save from Alan McGregor in tao. Goldson & Katic seem to be relishing their partnership in the centre of defence and have been excellent so far. Looks like a VAST improvement on the past few previous seasons. Gerrard's influence is clearly showing in the team's play compared to what we were used to & so far he is doing a fantastic job. Hope he keeps it going and by all reports I've seen he will not accept slackers. The main thing that I've noticed (from the games I've see) is there is very little standing off opponents when they have the ball and pressurising them is the name of the game in these situations.

We seem to be using it as an attempt ‘to grow the brand’ getting exposure and trying to get more people interested in watching Sutton United

What's going on with the supporters fighting again yesterday Leo? You'll be playing matches behind closed doors at this rate.

From what I've read & what I seen in the news (granted not a lot of footage so far) but it 'appears' there was absolutely no problem with the fans until the Police began getting heavy handed and skirmishes started.

As for you saying 'fighting again'.....I presume you are talking about the carry on before the Osijek game at Ibrox. Believe me mate, there is far more to that incident than what the MSM is actually letting on about (I have read a fair bit about what went on) and the full culpability cannot be placed at our door. Having said that I would never condone any acts of violence.

Celtic make hard work of it against Championship Patrick Thistle, this carries on and the title race might not be as wide as expected.

I, obviously, am certainly hoping that to be the case Liam. However I'm not counting any chickens because we're still a work in progress. Yeah, Celtic certainly weren't polishing medals yesterday & Thistle made them work for the win but their (Celtic's) defence is there for the taking. On to Rugby Park today for what will be a tough game on a dreaded plastic pitch.

Another excellent result away from home....beating Kilmarnock, who are no pushovers, 1-3 with the wee Colombian Alfredo Morelos getting a hattrick. He should have had 4 but one was knocked off by the far side linesman as not having crossed the line but it was over. Gerrard has installed a tremendous attitude into his squad and they are a totally different proposition than what was on show the past few seasons. No failures in the team & my Men of the Match were Morelos for his goals and work rate and Connor Goldson who has been a great acquisition Don't know what Brighton fans thought of him but he has been a tremendous signing for us and is a no nonsense centre half! One bad piece of news was a serious knee injury to Jamie Murphy in a collision with Broadfoot. Wasn't a foul btw but looks to have been the way he landed on that shite plastic pitch. Really good interview by Steven Gerrard after the game and showed all respect due to Kilmarnock and his team. He is growing into this job day by day!

Kenny Miller already quit as Livingston manager - issues in the boardroom despite promotion?

Hopkin didn't stay despite getting them up.

Rangers have a long and detailed history of violence around Scotland and Europe.

But of course, it is never their fault.

The ten year old girl hit with a bottle at Ibrox definitely started it.

https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/3072003/st-mirren-rangers-fan-bottle/

These incidents happen pretty much every week. Astonishingly, virtually no violence exists outwith the Old Firm.

This is strange one. Apparently if he had remained in his position for another week or so a compensation package would have kicked in if he was removed. I just don't get it as it is being reported that it was nothing to do with results or performances since Miller was appointed.

Oh dear another pish attempt at oneupmanship destroyed....

HOOLIGAN DANGER AT 35 CLUBS
NINTCHDBPICT000028476201.jpg

Organised thug gangs have attached themselves to two thirds of Scotland’s senior clubs, cops have warned.
Just seven of the 42 SPFL sides have been categorised as having supporters with no associated hooligan risk.
In a bid to combat the problem, league bosses have recruited gang expert Karyn McCluskey, of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit.
SPFL chief Neil Doncaster said: “We are very clear that anyone who doesn’t behave is not welcome at or around our stadiums. Indeed, these people are not entitled to call themselves football supporters.
“Only a collaborative and thoughtful approach can begin to tackle the unacceptable behaviour which these people choose to indulge in.”

I've read some ridiculous posts since Gerrard took the Rangers role pertaining to his apparent dearth of intelligence and specifically by those who have a tendency to allow themselves to be swept along by conjecture and have 'seemingly' already arrived at the conclusion Gerrard lacks the sense to be a top manager.

I think those myopic and less discernible are in for a rude awakening ,Gerrard is driven to be the best at whatever he undertakes and that unshakeable belief he has in achieving this is admirable, his tactical acumen is vastly underrated and his appetite for success as yet remains unsated,ok, he may not be the most personable fella (trust me I've met him ) you're ever likely to meet but the fact remains he knows his onions and anyone who can 'still' talk about football with that much passion after years of sufferance with Liverpool is a man with machinations to regularly dine at the top table.

In conclusion, you've got a top young manager in place and he will drag Rangers kicking and screaming back to relevance !

Just watched this game. Although Maribor had the majority of pressure/possession this was one disciplined display from Rangers. There were only, imo, a couple of semi-hairy moments but Maribor failed to capitalise. We actually had a few chances ourselves but failed to put them away. And as for the penalty award to Maribor....what a joke. Have yet to see any mention 'ANYWHERE' by 'ANYONE' about the behaviour of the Maribor fans on a couple of occasions flinging objects at Rangers players but then again that's not unusual as the haters keep their traps shut when these things occur! As for the performance and discipline....I wonder who could be responsible for that...hmmmm? As for the usual suspect....GIRFUY!!!

St Juste....a masterclass in failure.....

Let's see some recent examples of this violence, then.

I posted about a game from two weeks ago. I can't even remember the last time St Mirren were involved in any violence that didn't come during a game with one of the Old Firm.

Do you really think Rangers don't have a nasty, violent element amongst their fans? Astonishing levels of ignorance there.

Well, he was caught blatantly lying after his first league press conference.

Apart from that, he hasn't done too badly. No doubt the next heads gone moment is just around the corner. He's really not the brightest, which is why he appeals so easily to Rangers and Liverpool fans.

I do remember reading an article after he viciously assaulted that DJ that, around Liverpool, if Steven Gerrard asked you to do something, you did it. And he was so shocked someone didn't do exactly what he wanted when he asked.

Which, it has been be said, is pathetic beyond words for grown men to sycophant to some footballer to that extent
