Be a decent L1 with a fair few local games next season - whenever that may be.

I think that ship has sailed. Another year left with you?

Can’t believe you got saddled with such a long contract and such high wages. Who did that?

I liked him, personally, but we’ve moved on now.

I love Darrell Clarke but the Bennett deal, along with signing Stefan Payne were his poorest decisions. - yep another year but think we will try and get shot, he seems to want to run his contract down which is fair enough.

TBF Bennett finished the previous season well and looked one of our better players, but then this season was piss poor when he made an appearance. Seems like as soon as his feet are under the table he loses interest, something pompey fans warned us about.

I found it funny that your manager said he couldnt afford Bennett on a free, while at the same time trying to sign Bret Pitman for decent money.

How is Tom Broadbent doing? always seemed to have a clanger in his locker but decent left foot

Very well liked is Tom. Not first choice and Wellens has said he has suffered with some personal issues - no idea what.

Every time I’ve seen him he looks fine. Maybe not the bring it out of defence and pass kind of player, but he’s strong, great header and, tbf, he’s not bad with the ball at his feet.

Yeah I think we all wanted him to succeed due to his background but for whatever reason it didn't quite work out here. He is a pretty decent left back by all accounts but was never used there as we had Lee Brown.

I have quite a few mates who support Swindon and Plymouth so will be banterous next season for sure

I didn’t realise one of Wycombe’s games in hand were against Coventry. So based on unweighted PPG, that game will award 4 points nearly for both teams against a conventional maximum of three.

Couldn't have been any worse, you're all bloody miles away and still the possibility of Exeter or Cheltenham!

L1 sorted is it?? And you think we are going to accept that we have to go down so that, potentially, the club that finishes seventh in League Two takes our place by playing in a Play Off competition held by clubs who can`t finish the season because they can`t afford to play their remaining games yet can, surprise surprise, afford to play in the Play Offs ,which by the way IMO the EFL are insisting are played because they want the TV money and don`t give a crap about anything else. "Integrity of the competition" my backside

See you court and then see you on the pitch next season...thats if you are still around then !!!!!

Here we go again. When you get relegated does it actually matter who replaces you? If L2 has a completed PO, whoever that happens to be, deserves to get promoted.

L1 has already had the benefit of only having 3 relegation places. Personally, I don’t care who comes down with Bolton and Southend - but someone has to.

The rules of the League state there are 3 automatic promotion places with the 4th place going to the winner of the Play Offs. I`ve got no problem with 3 teams coming up and but my argument remains as it has always been in that if clubs can`t afford to play their remaining League games they can`t afford to play in Play Off games. Also I`d love to know who some of the clubs in League 2 think they are when they are demanding they still get 4 promotion places but no relegation. They want their cake and eat it in the opinion of a lot of people. They can`t have it both ways. And the other thing is that we have a game in hand which if we win would take us above Wimbledon should a WPPG system by used to decide the final league positions. If there are going to be Play Off games we should have the chance to play that game which is away at Rochdale surely.

I think people are forgetting that the EFL are the Clubs, it’s not a governing body like the FA so whatever the clubs vote to do will stand so going to court really isn’t an option

The problem with relegation from L2 is that the EFL clubs want to be sure there is a league for them to play in next season.

I do have sympathy with you regarding your proximity to getting out of the drop zone, but as you are aware finishing the season has nothing to do with who you have left to play or your closeness to Wimbledon or, indeed, playing at all. It’s just a formula to get the leagues out of the shit. You are (could be) unfortunate collateral damage.

If there was no play offs out of L2 they would only promote whoever comes 4th with ppg.

So unless L1 resumes with 25 clubs, 4 clubs being promoted demands that 3 come down.

Just in. The EFL proposals to be voted on

1. No relegation anywhere.
2. Points per game alternatives.
3. How work out PPG when been a points penalty.
4. No League Two relegation.
5. Playoffs in League One.
So EFL listening to all ideas. But still likely THEIR plan wins ...

Wycombe telling furloughed staff to look for other jobs.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52891759

Does anyone think this faffing around is partly resoponsible? Maybe if the season was already decided with Wycombe going up these people would probably still have jobs with the club taking the hit now knowing what the future would bring.

That's what Palios wanted first of all for L1? As far as I can tell, WPPG was taken off the table in the same way that null and void was.

We brought up number 3, which is basically to ensure those who've been deducted points have their PPG worked out prior to points deducted, so based on how many points they've won on the field rather than how many they've ended up with due to deductions.

So Bolton's PPG will be worked out on 26 points won rather than the 14 points (26-12 point deduction) the table is showing. So their PPG should be 0.76 (33.64 points) rather than 0.41 (18.11 points) so Southend are 24th and Bolton 23rd.

A minor, but valid, correction.

EDIT - Forgot the final part of the calculation. It'd then be 33.64 - 12 = 21.64, so they'd just stay bottom.

What's the point in only no league 2 relegation? Complete waste of an option
I think the problem is the EFL want to be sure Stevenage/Macclesfield have a League to play in next season if relegated. They want to be sure the National League will still be up and running.

I think 3 games compare to 9 is quite a difference. Even if they scrapped play offs and only the top teams went up, it still wont help you.
You're goal difference is shocking, home form shocking and pitch (was) shocking. Although you dont get the chance to play yourself out of danger, where you were when the season was stopped was down to your players.
Someone was always going to suffer in order to resolve this unfortunately, but its a one off occurance, bite the bullet and come back stronger next time.
