That was pretty much as many as we could sell though. The ground only held 18k then and that was reduced due to redevelopment at times. We had to give a percentage to away fans and a percentage to pay on the day.

Granted. That still left us with 2,000 seats available for our own supporters, but we rarely sold out (18,500).

Might have been a few uncovered or restricted seats but I remember the first season in the Premiership and most games were full. I had to get a season ticket in the Kop because I couldn't get in the main stand or midland. I can only think of a few games when we had noticeable lower crowds.

We've sold around 2,800 as of this morning. Sold 600 in the last couple of days. Should surpass 3,000 by tomorrow night.

It's fun being a stickleback in a pond full of claret and amber trout.

Blimey, that's a lot of £5 notes.

You sold 3,000 yet?

Ours were only £49 less than yours last season, and we managed to sell 10,000.

No excuses.

Coventry fans will take great pride in knowing they paid a lot more than Bradford fans as they watch games in a half empty soulless bowl.

You've been on a club on the up whilst we've been on a downer for 15 years.

We have sold over 4,000 season tickets with a target of 6,000 and 2,000 match packages sold. So probably around 10k all together at the Ricoh next year not too bad is it considering we could have went down last year.

I look forward to visiting English footballs answer to Galatasary next year. Last time I went it was a group of people singing we love you all game and those generic songs with a drum. The people I was with were almost laughing that banging a drum really loud and singing nursery rhymes was now classed as an atmosphere.

Anyway, 1 stand is closed off next year and the majority of home fans will be in one stand so there will be a better than usual atmosphere at the Ricoh.

Aww bless your cotton socks.

Remember, we fell far quicker than you did, and dropped a tier lower. Also, I'm sure we sold 13,000 ST's in L2 ....? On the up? You're damn right we are. Keep mocking us, and I'll mock your shite support until I see fit to do so.

Keep giving it real good go with your tiny singing section - while our full Kop (7,500) are in full voice almost every game.

You had 5,000-6,000 in this league between 92-96. Would you like to talk about that?

Shite support? The last times Bradford have to come to Cov they bought about 600 last season, about 100 in the Championship and the famous 39 in the Premier League.

If you want to compare us at our losest ebb we can compare Bradford too at their lowest points.

It's a fake atmosphere though like Palace. Like the ones Brighton/Reading create.

And you also had 7k at this level for 04-07. Did you not have £150 season tickets then? 2 can play your game mate and let me tell you the figures are a lot more embarassing for you than us! You even went as low as 2 and 3k in the 80s.

actually I was bored so I decided to have a look at the stats. Bradford have only averaged more than Cov ONCE in their entire history and that was the season just gone. You could count the Sixfields season but even Stevenage were better supported that season so it's a bit of a sham. So, before you call Covs support shit you may want to take a look at the stats mate. If our support is shit then what is Bradfords? You just don't compare to us mate and the only way you have catched us is by our 15 year of decline and your progression recently as well as cheap season tickets. So don't act as if your support has been good for ages you've always been a 5k-7k club in the lower divisions as far as I can remember. Well done for extending your fan base but come off it mate, a few seasons of decent support doesn't mean you can call other clubs support shit when they've always had way more fans than you. As they say don't forget where you come from.

Oh, before the Premier League days then? Before our core fanbase grew? What have we averaged singe the Prem Days? I'll save you the homework....8,300-18,600.

We brought 750 on a Tuesday night - I don't think that's too shabby IMO.

100 in the Chanpionship? Really?

Famous 39 in the Premier League - I'm sure you already know the reasons behind that.

So how can you criticise Cov for 10k next year with all the shit we've had to put up with when you've had far lower in this division. Like I said we're at the lowest point in our history on and off the pitch, if that's all you can use against Cov's support then that's fine with me.

Yes in the 4-0 game in the championship there was very little number of away fans there.

Hold on, you said Cov can't have excuses for off the field stuff and should always support the team? So why are you giving an excuse for a 39 away following in the Premiership. There's no way you can excuse that, that was absolutely terrible and showed you don't belong in that division. I don't even think Crawley or Fleetwood have gone as low as 39 in this league but you had off the field problems that's fine then for you to not to turn up but when another club does it its shit support. You can't have it both ways

Crawley brought 27 to Vale Park last season. They won 2-3. :ffs:

Isn't the away end at Vale quite big too? Must have been funny seeing 29 away fans jump around a 4k away end

It holds 4,500. They were put in the very far block by the unfinished stand. Scarily, they were fairly loud.

I think that just sums up both the great acoustics in our away end, and just how terribly poor our home atmospheres can be.

Do you really need to update everyday? You wouldn't be updating if you had sold 5,000 would you? Well done, you've managed to sell a decent number of STs £100 cheaper anyone else in this league. Maybe if they were normal price you would have kept Davies and not let him leave to Ross County but unfortunately all them pennies don't add up to much.

With respect, DH, don't tell me you wouldn't be doing the exact same thing if this was Coventry selling 16,000 Season Tickets.

You, and I dare say a lot of Coventry supporters would be lapping it up and phrases such as 'Coventry are back' and 'sleeping giant' would surface.

No because we've had always decent attendances, selling that many at £150 wouldn't be that much of a big deal for us tbf but for a club like Bradford who have been not that well supported for the majority of their history it is a big deal. It's just the bragging about it tbh which is stupid, any half decent average supported club would sell a decent amount.

Bitter? Bradford have never achieved anything in their history unless you count getting demolished 5-0 in the reserve cup final as an achievement and have always been a lower league club with 5-7,000 home fans so I'm not sure how you can be bitter against a club which has never done anything to annoy me.

Go on then.

Well no because it isn't very sustainable and relies on cup progression to the latter rounds every season which isn't going to happen every season. There's a reason why your best player has moved to Ross County...
