It's been a brilliant run. But what tonight showed was a lack of experience and a lack of quality. We bossed the first half in terms of chances and we should have been 2 up. But Kane can't score, that final ball and killer touch was just lacking all game. Then we got nervous, as you'd expect from a young inexperienced team who haven't even been close to a tournament semi-final.

Gutted to get so close then just have the little things just things not quite fall. Croatia just had that extra guile needed to win, it's how they have got through to the final. They deserved it in the end and that is heartbreaking.

needed a change after the goal, ended up with weaker like for like and when 2-1 down again we could not really change things.

probably our key thing for 2 years now 'for once!!' is not needing to worry about the main 11, but now working on a Plan B and the back-up

I think best we could have got was final anyway........the real Final in my view was the game on Tuesday, i cannot ever have seen either Croatia or England beating one of the others.

England are a really young team and aren't very good. That said, if Jonjo Shelvey is in that squad we win this 6-0 and go on to batter the French in the final. This is a fact.

Absolutely gutted, Croatia deserved winners and if anything it was us who tired as the game went on, and their key players really came into the game after half time and ran the midfield. So annoying to concede such sloppy goals, we were allowing too many crosses into the box and were always going to get punished, Alli didn't look fit which is maybe why he couldn't get out quick enough.

So many positives coming out of this, it's such a young squad and has so much more to give, especially with some of the kids coming through the junior sides so there's no reason to not look forward with optimism.
