Don’t think we’ve ever faced Sutton before so a new opponent for us.

Well it’s official now. I think it’s fair to say that by size of club we’ll be the smallest in the league and our ground is very non-league. And Sutton is boring suburbia. You’ll love it

Nah, you’ll not even be in the bottom six for attendances. Wholeheartedly agreed that your ground is fucking awful and a terrible, awkward place to visit. Still, nice to have another London team in the same division. All a bit Northern in these parts.

It’s not the fault of teams like Sutton and Barrow that Chesterfield, Wrexham, Notts County etc can’t sort their shit out!

Well done to Sutton will look forward to that one next season. Best start ripping that pitch up though!

We're not tinpot enough to have ever played them.

Or us.

And this is an imposter sutton, the proper sutton is in nottinghamshire (though i’m confident this sutton - wherever they are, somewhere down south presumably - is much nicer than the one by mansfield!)

Hope that all coach drivers check their satnavs next season, don't want to end up in the wrong one...as someone allegedly did a few years ago and took a coach load of fans to Forest Green in Surrey...over 100 miles out from where they needed to be!

Apparently it was a FA Trophy quarter final tie in season 2000/1 when Worksop Town where the visitors to The Lawn.
Rumours suggest the coach finished up in Forest Green, near Dorking, Surrey.

Stamford Bridge is in Yorkshire as anybody who knows their history and the battle of 1066.

Awkward, really? Get into London and head to Victoria. A few stops on the Wimbledon loop via Clapham Junction - 4 stops for me as I do intend to get to GGL next season. DON'T be tempted to return via Wimbledon, the journey is slow as the Barra lads nearly discovered a couple of years back until I put them right.

Edit - how the hell do I delete a post?

Bearing in mind that Jared travels over from South Wales for every home match and attends most away matches as well. More dedication than I have.

Though of course anyone with a decent knowledge of grography would also know there is one in lincolnshire :)

If you mean the town bridge crossing the river in the town of Stamford, then yes you are correct, but there is no village of Stamford Bridge in Lincolnshire

Was a really good game. I do think if Notts came up with that defence of theirs then forwards in this league will have a field day with them. They were lucky it was only Nathan Tyson they were playing today.

Manny going off with an injury just when his team would have needed him most. Seen that film before.

Not that i’ve mentioned in the non league forum but another season of playing nobodies for chesterfield for another season - that’s what happens when you celebrate us going down years ago,

torquay should be good to go next week

Absolutely incredible game. Made up for Ellis getting the winner. Hope his knees can handle another one/two games!

We’re actively playing with just one centre back since Burchnall came in (apart from today when we started with two but hooked one for a striker at half time lol) because he wants quick ones who can play out and Ardley only ever signed big lads. Assume we’ll sign a more suitable back line for him in the summer whichever division.

Albeit I can’t see him changing the ‘we’ll score more than you’ approach.

Fair enough. Have to be honest have seen nothing to show me that Rawlinson for example is able to perform in this division so would make sense if there were going to be changes there.

Need Hartlepool to uphold the traditions of the 92 tomorrow and vanquish Bromley. More than welcoming to Sutton who have come up but that lot can do one. Will give that a watch if only as we’ve been linked with one of their defenders Ryan Johnson apparently.

Connell would be fine I think in League Two as a normal centre back in a normal team (probably our best player for 18 months under Ardley), but he’s struggling under Burchnall in a system that’s asking a huge amount of our centre backs with the ball.

Rawlinson struggled for us, although I could be wrong I do think Aspin played him at right back at times. He wasn’t awful but was part of our defence that took a few wallopings that season.

Might have mentioned before but my view of Rawlinson from his time at Vale might be clouded by Aspin playing him at RWB during his time at the club. That said each time I’ve seen Notts play on BT he has been exposed by anyone with a modicum of pace even at Conference level so all I can say is the likes of Devante Rodney just to name one would tear him a new one.

Same here, and we very cleverly got ourselves relegated to avoid the ignominy of having to play them next season.

Should have done what Cheltenham did. Cheltenham got promoted in 2016 to avoid us in the league (although we did knock them out of the FA Cup the following season), and have repeated the trick this season.

Saying that Sutton and Cheltenham are promotion buddies, Cheltenhams last 4 promotions have been in the same season Sutton were also promoted.

Well done to Hartlepool knocking off Bromley. Now guaranteed the return of a proper club. Of the four would prefer Torquay but frankly any of them are welcome.

We've done our Brotherly deed and vanquished the last evil club.

A BROTHER is coming back to league footy, rejoice!

Would be nice but loads to do yet. Shame the final's at fucking Ashton Gate though, there'd be 35 or 40000 for a Wembley final involving any of the clubs still left.
