FGR will probably put 4 past us on Tuesday. It's the Tranmere way.

Btw the bandwagon jumpers of Lincoln have a nerve to knock anyone's attendances.

The reduction in goal difference potentially reduces it from two Lincoln slip ups to one.

We'll probably lose to FGR on Tuesday and it'll be irrelevant!
Which only becomes relevant if we slip up.

It's a massive thing to think about a goal from a player who doesn't get a look in now (Adam Marriott) could decide the title.

Not sure what you're on about, the majority on this forum have been supporters for 10+ years, fact.

Attendances don't win football matches, it's a boring conversation.

The more Tranmere fans packed into prenton park against fgr and aldershot the better for me...Tranmere don't tend to perform as well in the big matches when the pressure's on and a big expectant crowd.

We've already beaten them home and away and think they only drew at fgr. Hope Noble's back for fgr, big player for them

Talk about a moral dilemma for Tuesday.

Over to Chris, FGRJC and the rest of the Village People.

We don't tend to win 9-0 either but hey ho. Straws and all that.

Let's not bicker. It's an amazing run that both teams are on, whoever wins it will definitely have deserved it.

9-0... it hasn't sunk in yet. Our biggest ever win was 13-4, which was a 9 goal margin, so we've equalled that. Great day and a great atmosphere. Bring on FGR.

No idea why Lincoln fans are so concerned about what Tranmere are doing. Lincoln just need to do their bit and they're champions. Must drive Cowley crazy that all his fans are constantly wetting themselves over something they have no control over.

If FGR beat Tranmere, it's Lincolns.
If Lincoln lose their game in hand and if Tranmere beat FGR, it's Tranmere's.

A lot of ifs for Tranmere so Lincoln are ahead, just.

Wow 9-0 to the Rovers. Are Lincon going to shit it?
People talk about Tranmere's potential banana skins against Aldershot and FGR, but for me getting past the much improved Guiseley is the big one.

On a separate note, we now have this silly record of winning all 8 games we have missed penalties in.

Take note FGR/Aldershot.. you should let us score from a penalty.

Maidstone look destined to decide the title in their final two home matches. Can't see us getting six points, but we are definitely no pushovers at the moment. Whatever happens, it will not be dull.

Indeed you will and your pitch will have a huge say in it too, think I'm right in saying neither of us had a good time on Sutton's 3g.

9-0? That's weak, we won 10-0 once!

The atmosphere has been superb at Prenton Park recently and the players are relishing it, so that is not going to be an issue for us.

If we are still level with Lincoln at 5pm on Friday, I will be surprised and delighted.

The one thing certain to invite ridicule from Maidstone is managers and fans getting their excuses in, in advance of playing on plastic. It'll be the same for both of you, so you'll have to come up with something better than that. Like Maidstone having nothing to play for, or the weather, or anything but the pitch.

I've just witnessed one of the worst displays by a Chester team in 58 years of following them. We lost 2-0 to a York City side who were very obviously a bottom 4 side, but game. The outcome was never in danger and the only mystery was how we only lost 2-0. York hit the woodwork at least twice (I left when the second when in to avoid further pain). There were at least 2 world class saves from our GK and numerous other misses. It should have been 5 or 6-0. Our manager Jon McCarthy doesn't seem to want to take any responsibility and has said in the press that he will re-sign all the squad. We had a period Sept/Oct when we were undefeated and conceded only 1 goal, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that that was due to the input of Ian Sharps, who moved too Walsall. The funny thing is that we extended McCarthy;s contact by 2 years, when he clearly doesn't know how to halt a run of 1 point from 27 (at home). Were doomed to do an Altrincham over the next 2 seasons. We'll sell 19 year-pld Sam Hughes for a paltry sum and the money will be used to plug the gap in our already meagre budget. Happy days not.

Seems Tranmere have their own bandwagon recently. This taken from their forum...

"Unbelievable. I've been away a few weeks. Where did the new atmosphere, songs, drums, performance suddenly come from?!?! I was looking around wondering if I'd stumbled in to another club!"

I'm sure I'll come out of today with even more grey hairs.

Incidentally, is 'hairs' the only word that starts as a plural, but end up being singular the more you get?
I thought that was intelligent for someone from Birkenhead, then I saw you weren't.

Yes, we were superb today. Solihull were actually the better side for the first ten minutes, then we steamrollered them. They could not cope with our attacking wing backs and I have never seen a team put so many quality balls into the box.

We have made a huge dint in the goal difference, but I think most of our fans are mentally preparing for the play offs now anyway. There is so much confidence around the club at the moment, you just have to hope we carry this form into the play off games and win them.

Sorry to piss on your chips Tranmere fans, but next up for Lincoln is us and they may well fill their boots. We've been the worst team in this league since Christmas and today we hit new depths.

Any chance you could sack McCarthy before Tuesday ? In all seriousness, is his position even under threat at the moment ?

Lincoln have what appear to be two gimmes this week, so if we are still in the race on Friday night I will be delighted.

For fucks sake Solihull

Oh well, we did what was required and picked up another win. Tuesday and Friday will surely be pivotal but I wouldn't be surprised if Tranmere beat both FGR and Aldershot, they're on fire right now.

Embarrassing the amount of Lincoln fans saying "match fixing" on twitter.

I find it hilarious that Lincoln fans are having a go about our crowd today. This is the same Lincoln who had only one crowd over 4,000 for the first 12 home games of the season and had one crowd of less than 2,500. I checked it out and the nearest PL club to Lincoln is Hull City, who are hardly the biggest draw in the League, and that is nearly 50 miles away whereas we have 4 of the biggest clubs in the country within 35 miles of us, including 2 within 5 miles of Prenton Park. And anyway I would rather have the crowd we had today of 5000 devoted, loyal noisy fans then a crowd which is 50% made up of bandwagon jumpers.

A great and (hopefully pivotal) day today as we climb outside the relegation zone for the first time in 5 months.

Unlike on Tuesday, this one went according to the form book. Chester have now lost 6 on the bounce at home and you could tell that they were bereft of both confidence and motivation with nothing to play for. Still, you can only beat what's put out in front of you and we probably should have won by more in the end.

Obviously our position in this league is still very precarious but, should the worst happen, I hold McNamara and McGill responsible. I really can't fault this group of players who have shown so much character and nerve to give us a fighting chance of survival after a disastrous 2016. I thought we were as good as down after NFU turned us over at home on NYD.

Despite the fact that he is tactically clueless, I think he is unsackable. No-one at the club will admit responsibility for giving an untried manager a 2-year extention. Fucking idiots.
