Comes as no shock really, I mentioned in another thread earlier today that as soon as you start arguing with your own fan base there is a very long road back. Clearly there has been a dis-connect between the board and the transfers - perhaps Clough was the last straw for Steve? Who takes the blame? Who to comes in next?

I know I've got quite personal when it's come to SC but its never nice seing someone lose their job. Especially after what he achieved last season. However he has brought it on himself. His stubbornness being his main downfall. Rarely changed the starting 11, never the formation and barely the substitutions.
His post match interviews were borderline insane and everyone else was to blame but himself.

Blame...... the board need to take a look at themselves too. SL has done a lot for this club but when it comes to running it he's failing. Yes he's written debt off, but it's debts from his mistakes. A good businessman no doubt, when it comes to on the field he's not quite there.

Overriding feeling one of sadness. Gave us our best season in living memory and he'll always be remembered for that.

Hasn't worked out this season but that's really not all on Cotterill. The recruitment (or lack of it) is where we've really fucked ourselves over and he's been let down by the board big time.
