Didn't the majority of you lot moan like fuck before Cotterill was appointed?

Fans are notoriously poor manager assessors.
Yup. And we loved the appointments of SO'D and McInnes. We know nothing.

On that basis, bring on Dean Saunders!

The Decision: Correct
The Timing: Awful
If I was Lansdown I would get Gary Monk in.

I don't understand why Pearson wouldn't be realistic. He's unlikely to get a Premier League job, and his odd behaviour probably puts clubs off too.

Think he'd be happy to take the Bristol City job, and think he'd do well there too.

The most laughable thing is that nearly 50% of people who've voted on the poll on OTIB reckon we could get Moyes :ffs:

The ONLY way I could even think he'd entertain the idea would be as an interim job till the end of the season just to give himself something to do

It's genuinely as bad as when Brentford fans thought they could attract Rogers. Laughable.

Someone's just pointed out Moyes gave an interview saying he didn't want the Swansea job, so what makes people think he'd want a job in a similar problem in the division below?

My only issue with Pearson is his perceived 'prickly' demeanour. Cotts was the same and it's obvious there were issues with the board and him because of that. Would Pearson be able to handle the £Billionaire and his entourage any better than Cotts?
It may be that Pearson isn't the person that is portrayed by the media, Cotts certainly wasn't.
My other problem with all this is where Burt fits in? He is the Director of Football and was supposed to be a 'buffer' between the board and the Management. Where the fook has he been in all this while SC was hung out to dry being left to make public statements about wages and budgets? Burt should be seriously looked at IMHO as it appears that he does the square root of fook all apart from compile lists of players that we could never realistically sign. I could do that!

He could get most jobs in the Championship, he can easily hold out for a better one than Bristol City.

Also it doesn't change the fact that he'll cost a lot. I know Bristol City have money, but so do Fulham, and they couldn't afford him. Apparently we weren't even close to being able to afford him either.

Oh yeah I get the history etc but sentiment for a club only goes so far, if we were a club at the top end of the championship or lower premier league club, things like that could be contributing factors for where he would take a job but we're too far away from that.

If Lansdown decided he wanted him he'd be able to afford him

I like to think City as a club have massive potential, especially with the new stadium next season, the size of Bristol etc.

I'm hoping that can appeal to a manager, even though he seems like a arrogant melt, I'd like to see Pearson take over.

However, I don't think it will be. It will be some yes man the board can take the piss out of and have their way.

It seems no matter which club you support the board/owners are clueless feckers who only want a yes man in charge.

Of course, in our case, that is perfectly true.

Go for Di Canio - you know you want to!

Why do Bristol City fans keep saying Moyes loves the club & area? Genuine question, like.

I understand that he played for you for 2yrs....20yrs ago, but still?

Sound. I was just genuinely interested what the extra link was. I wasn't aware that he still visits etc.

Looking at the tree/plant outside, light, door wide open etc....it looks like a photo from the summer months.

Someone on OTIB said it, check the time on the watch, its like 20 to 4 or something. Definitely not taken earlier today at any rate, unless it was yesterday before Cotts was sacked :shut:

Don't think he 'loves the club', but he's a regular visitor to be fair. Not that he'd take the job mind.

Took me ages to work out who you were on about then. All I could think was Nigel Clough :ffs:
