Took them up from League 1 and to the Championship play off final I believe.

Inside info or gut feeling?
Personally, I reckon it will be at the Baggies game on Tuesday.

My inside info as a fan of Bristol City is that we're not exactly the best at getting things done quickly.

In terms of Pearce

just-fuck-the-fuck-off.jpg

Now I've posted this he'll probably get appointed and be our most successful manager ever

So we've learned that Ashton won't be signing players without the head coach / Managers agreement, once our new gaffer is appointed. New faces are incoming but the long term plan sounds promising.
The head coach / Manager has 'the final say'.
Very positive.

Refered to the position as head coach, more than a manager. He came across very well though.

Be interesting to see how it pans out.

Stuart Pearce? Phew, I was getting worried you would be OK at our expense. :gr:
Don't relax just yet, it's all guess work afaik. I can't see him being the right 'fit' which seems to be our new COO's favourite word.
None of us know TBH but bids are in for Dack and we are linked with Lafferty, Macheda, Peter Whittingham and Rhoys Wiggins. It's certainly going to be a busy few days at BS3.

It won't be Pearce. Pretty confident about that. The betting market means nothing, I remember Robins being odds on a few seasons back.

Talking about Moyes, am I right in saying he has never managed in the championship? Not totally sure I'd want him if it was us, I'd prefer Pearson.

Anyway, it's all conjecture, for some reason he thinks he can get a big job somewhere despite his last 2 debacles.

Mental Nigel Pearson over a man who took Everton to the Champions League with James McFadden and Tony Hibbert in the team?? Baffling.

There's absolutely no chance he would consider a job in this league anyway, especially not that far down south. He'll be waiting for the Celtic job I reckon.

..and yes, as a Bristol City fan pointed out, he took us to the Play-off final in this league, in our first season back at this level after shitting all over League One.

It amazes me that people write Moyes off based on a job he was never really appropriate for and a risk that didn't work out for him. I credit him for trying in Spain because not enough British managers try to go abroad.

As SF said he did a great job at Preston even though it was years ago and he turned Everton from a team always playing with relegation into a solid premiership outfit on limited resource's if I remember correctly? He had a few bumps along the way and his football could be a bit more imaginative but he'd be a solid appointment for most mid table premiership teams let alone a team at the bottom of the championship. He will have learned from the last two jobs as well hopefully.

Anyway he wont be coming to City so its a pointless discussion really.

Dyrham asked Pearce directly about the City job on talkshite and he said he has had no contact from the club.

I stuck a bit on Clarke and Pearson each as they'd both drifted to 15/1. Think we'll try and go for Pearson but a more realistic option could be Clarke.

Would we not have gone for Pearson by now if that was the plan? Guess it's only been a week......

Can't help but think it'll be the current team till the end of the season.

quite possibly but Pembo is only 3/1 so didn't feel like betting on those odds.

On Pearson, could quite conceivably want to get a better picture of the job and task at hand before taking it etc.
