My personal thought is that the shoutbox is better at the top of the forum. At the bottom it takes a concerted effort to read, rather than just being there.

That's something we are debating at the moment. A few of my thoughts..

I'd prefer it at the top, but TB makes a good point - people have to scroll through the forum to get to the shoutbox, if it goes back to the top, will people just ignore the forum and only use the shoutbox?

Secondly - we want to use the media so people can use that as an 'extra' - it looks a bit 'elongated' at the top if we have the menubar, then media, then shoutbox, then the forum.

Will continue to debate it in the coming days.

Use the pop-up function of the shoutbox, if you don't like it at the bottom.

Maybe if we could get the chatbox to be a pop-up but an on-site pop up so it's in the corner of any screen and you click it to expand it? Just an idea!

If the SB goes to the top we'll need to move media down below the forums, otherwise you're looking at scroll wayyy below the fold of the page before you even reach the first board. Poor user experience and wouldn't help with getting content indexed with any real authority.

You need to replace this text on the main forum page:

Dunno if it's been mentioned but the trophy thing is a bit unnecessary, as a Wednesday fan i'm not used to getting trophies!

Well, fuck me, you learn something new every day!

Knew you were good for something.

EDIT - Thanks to Des, too.

Unsure on whether to take that as an insult or not ;)

Not sure if previously mentioned but we have two non league forums (one is a subforum in English Football) but non European football or International football forums. Think when the CL and Internationals start off again these would be decent additions.

Maybe the English football forum could be called General Football as the other forums kind of cover English football (cup comps aside)

Just a suggestion.

Just wondering... do we have spoiler tags on here yet? New season of Game of Thrones is coming up, you know...

Does this still work?

Ah, yeah it does. bracket spoiler bracket, bracket /spoiler bracket is still a thing. Cool.

Oh and also you can click on the little + box to bring up the spoiler tag thing if you're lazy. Happy days.

Is there a way to PM someone either from a thread or from their profile? Can't find one but I could just be thick.

Thanks. My fault for always right-clicking and opening the profile in a new tab.

Something that I randomly thought of today, though I think it's possibly already been mentioned:

How about renaming General Chat to Niks General Chat or something similar again?

The first un-read post you mean?

If so, yes. Click on the grey circle next on the left of the thread name.

At some point I think we'll need to do a FAQ thread/section for any newbies/dumb shits

I love that the forum saves a draft of the message you're writing. I clicked off the page halfway through a message earlier and cursed, until I realized it was still there in all it's glory. :)

Can we add 'Location' to the info that's shown next to people's posts (with join date, supports, etc)? I like being able to see where people live without having to look at their profile.

It's good for context when people are writing about things other than football.

Yes! I was writing up another of my massive posts yesterday when my firefox crashed. Was gutted, but then came back on only to see the message preserved. Superb feature.
