Getting it in early - we're gonna get reffed out of this league.

First pen was in the 6th minute of 5 added on, and then time for another? Hmm.....

96 quid richer over here.

Was cursing myself for betting on us to win.

Unreal.

Time added on is a minimum, not a maximum. The time after the first one is probably then linked also to all the inevitable messing around getting ready for the original penalty.

Thanks for that, I feel much better now.

Fully deserved win. Hit the bar 4 times, their keeper must have made 4 1 on 1 saves and we managed 2 of the most horrendous defensive cock ups you’ll ever see.

And the Pox got dicked!

How legit were the pens? Sounds like the first had a lot of deliberation about it? Lino flagged for off side or summat?

Pretty sure they were both fouls. For the first one the liner had flagged for offside but that was either for someone who hadn't interfered, or the ball had come off a Macc player.

First one was offside - but given against a player not fouled. Lino decision correctly overturned.

Second was nailed on.

Seen the highlights, pens are both nailed on. Just whether or not should still have been playing that long. Especially the 2nd pen as the time added after the first was only from the officials taking an age to make their (ultimately correct) decision, not time wasting or anything like that.

But it’s still time not played. Not a bad turnout from you lot, either. Surprised. Some were necking it like there’s no tomorrow in The Merlin. Maybe they were asleep for the last few minutes!

It's also time not played during time which was well over the 5 mins of injury time too. Not enough can happen in five minutes to justify adding that much more on again

Hopefully your players sang some edgy songs about "f*ck tranmere" to make themselves feel better on the way home.

Why was the Macclesfield manager in one breath moaning about the ref wanting to be the star of the show then in another being quite honest and saying they were penalties?

Sounds like the ref was only doing his job then rather than trying to make a name for himself ?

The ref was a typical lower league type - mediocre

That's being generous! He managed to redeem himself by correctly giving the penalties though, I'll give him that.

We were quick and slick going forward - midfield will run through teams this year. Cut out the comedy capers at the back and we’re in for a good season. Lincoln will be a good test next Saturday. Looking forward to going.

Bloody hell Macc, I thought you'd won that 2-1. Only realise that you'd lost to 2 late, late penalties when I checked the scores again this morning. Cummon Cheshire's finest.

From reports from both fans I think whilst the manner of winning the game was fortunate it did sound like the best side took home the points.

I think once Diagouraga is integrated into the side and Nelson replaces Lancashire we’ll be sorted. Those 2 injury time goals will be massive for confidence in the side. Tough game next up at Lincoln.

Randomly watching highlights from all the game and I had to laugh at how that number 22 gave it the biggun after scoring, then ended up costing his side the game by giving away the second penalty. I fucking love karma like that.
