But forums aren't supposed to be an 'after you Claude' thing.

It's supposed to be a bit of chest-thumping, bigoted nonsense. Personally, I enjoy the insulting banter - even by the deluded 82ers!

Some of their insults are quite amusing at times I must admit.

Anyway, the real stuff wont start until after we've melted the plastics and Oldham have thrown another spoke in City's promotion wheels.

Note to self: even I don't necessarily believe that last bit

Indian Dan is confusing this place with a UKIP forum!

Tbf there's a lot of decent city fans on here (Jon, ciderhead, jjh etc), it's just there's so many of them here there's bound to be a few that ruin it.

Old Parkender's number 1 for this. Only seems to comment on swindon defeats :dk:
Really? Just had a look through my posts but couldn't find 1 on a Swindon defeat!!! I'll have to speak to my lawyer oh libellous one!!!

Indian Dan loves the 82er tag, does he not know most City fans dont find it insulting?

Think the City/Swindon thread will be largely dictated by Saturday. Win and we'll all be bantersauras rex's. Lose and the game becomes far less important to us!

Whatever the result we have both had fantastic seasons so far, one other think to be thankful for is we ain't having to play the likes of Braintree and Kidderminster whilst having tens of thousands of our fans locked out.

That's probably the only consolation I'd take from you winning on Saturday, that at least we get to be neutrals sitting back and watching WWIII kick off between you lot and Bristol City on here.

Wasn't most of the bile reserved for after we beat them - not before?

But, of course, after the event any insults are just water off a duck's back to the victor.

Hence all the hoo-ha about Thompson having the audacity to celebrate winning the game has turned him into a hate figure for the 82ers and a real shove-it-up-yer-arse hero to us.

At least you got a mention Rich. I'm not one of the 'good' City fans whereas you're just a wind up merchant apparently!

The only reason this is so long is half the posts are about the big one on Tuesday. Might as well rename it the City vs Swindon pre-match buildup thread!

As to this game, not really bothered about the result, I'm just really looking forward to it. Both very good footballing sides, both need to go for it - should make for a cracking game to watch! Can't choose between them, both coming back into form after a little wobble, MK picked up a few injuries but they've got so much depth up top. With home advantage I'd just lean towards Swindon, 2-1

Anyone know what gate we're expecting for this?

I'm not expecting a very good one, thanks to our silly ticket prices and that its on the box. Shame really.

Robbo made a thinly veiled reference to the Swindon v Bristol City post match celebrations in his interview yesterday. Playing it down as the be all and end all for either team and neither team should celebrate if they win and stated that if either team lost they would use it a motivational tool for a possible play off meeting.

Wise words, for once...

We've sold 9000 tickets, Franchise about 800 (decent for them).

Add on the walk-ups on matchday and it should be knocking 11000

Honestly, I can't agree about not celebrating a win - same as I don't agree with ex players sometimes not celebrating scoring against a previous club.

The 3 points tomorrow may end up being of no use to either club as far as the autos are concerned, so you might as well celebrate still being in it at that time.

I'll be celebrating for sure!

Quick holiday update. Sat by the beach in Kusadasi drinking a cold Efes out of a frosted ice glass.

Life is good! :)
