Just two 4th Division clubs left, so thought they deserved a thread of their own.

Caviar and Champagne Chelsea v Haddock, Chips and a pint Grimsby Town being the most important one.

I know which I prefer, and it's not Posh Cod Roe and Sparkling Grape Juice!

Crawley (you know, that plaice near Gatwick Airport) play those potters of Stoke in the other game.

Chelsea play at home against Valencia on Tuesday 17th Sep, again at home on Sunday, against Liverpool and then us on Wednesday 25th Sep. I bet Chelsea fans are beside themselves with excitement playing three footballing giants within eight days at Stamford Bridge.

Crawley of have course the best chance of progressing, but Chelsea haven't won at home this season yet, and may still be win less at Stamford Bridge come the 25th when we ruck up; can't believe they'll put out anywhere near a full first team after the games before and then home to Brighton on the following Saturday.

I wonder what a Crawley, Grimsby double bet odds will be?

Guess they've slipped under the radar only beating small fry in Crystal Palace, compared to the Mariners historic victory over the Mighty Macc.

Amazingly Chelsea only have 1600 tickets left in the home ends for this, obviously playing the giants of the football world GTFC is a massive pull for their fans, and definitely nothing to do with the tickets only being a tenner. ;)
I’ve booked the night off work, just gotta hope the tickets make general sale now.

1600 tickets left or 1600 tickets not reserved for season ticket holders left?

A couple of 3rd round League Cup ties at Stamford Bridge in the past few seasons, albeit against Bolton and Forest, both attracted gates of over 40,000, so it looks like their fans do turn out for these games.

I now need 7 tickets, hopefully there will be enough to go around. Train tickets booked, staying with our son, just the tickets required.

2300 tickets sold to STH's in the first day. Don't think we'll manage to sell the full allocation of 5118 but should be another great day/evening out.

Season ticket holders are allowed two tickets each, they have taken over 2,900 so far, stub holders for last two games get a go tomorrow I believe, but only one ticket each. Single stub holders and Trust memebers next, again only one ticket each. Free for all on Thursday, should be enough to go round (5,118 given by Chelsea, at £10:00 and £5:00 for concessions).

3,700 sold by this lunchtime when I picked mine up and they're not even on general sale yet.

I may be made to eat my words saying that I didn't think we'd sell our full allocation.

4158 is the number sold as of the end of today. Only on sale to STH's, stub holders from our last 2 games and Mariners Trust members so far.

The remaining 960 go on general sale from tomorrow morning.

Looks like there’s gonna be a bit of a flu epidemic at my lads school next Wednesday as him and about 20 of his mates are all going. :gr:

Looks like you did well to get the tickets as everyone on Twitter is moaning that the online sales are not working.

Oh really? I've never had a problem with them. I was on at 9am on the dot, to be fair. Someone on The Fishy said they got theirs at 8.40am, which is before they were advertised as being on sale.

Oh yeah, this is what they're saying on Twitter...

"An initial amount was launched online, we had 150+ orders come through in a couple of minutes. Whilst we process all these orders, remaining tickets will be put online once we’ve processed all these."

...they have to assume if people are buying multiple tickets that 150 orders could take them up to a sell out with people turning up to the ticket office to, I guess.

Pretty amazing support from our fans again. To sell over 5000 tickets for a midweek game for an often much-maligned cup competition against what will no doubt be a Chelsea reserve side is quite impressive.

I initially thought we sell about 3000 but have been proved wrong again.

Yep, superb stuff. I also thought we'd sell about 3000-3500. I got the Morecambe one right, saying it'd be closer to three figures than it would a sellout when people were saying it was gonna be hard to get tickets, but totally underestimated how many we'd sell for this. The following on Tuesday was brilliant, too.
