Well squad size rules us out. 18 players on the books 2 of which are out on loan, plus one of the 18 is our 46 year old goalkeeping coach  Our chairman said he doesn't want promotion this season as we can't afford to go up (Huh?) That's why he won't let another loan player come in when every Wycombe fan knows we desperately need a striker. Plus we have 2 injuries at the moment.

You tell me mate! Plus we earned £150,000 from last seasons play offs and £400,000 from the sale of our keeper Matt Ingram to QPR. Don't tell Higgs or he'll take us to court again )

Somehow don't think Higgs cares anymore, didn't even turn up to welcome his successor yesterday. Probably off spending his newly replenished wealth on an Aston for his villa in Italy...

We just can't string a set of results together and that's going to cost us automatic promotion. To beat Bristol Rovers so easily and then scrape a 1-1 draw at Yeovil yesterday is infuriating. We need to be showing more bottle if we're going to finish in the play-off places.

No one knows, but was well known that he wanted his loans paid up, so I'm guessing a few million with a sweetener on top. He wasn't the sort of Man to let it go for a quid. Was once quoted as saying Rovers were worth 35 million in his eyes guessing he meant Turkish lira as surely couldn't have meant pounds!

Looks like the post Christmas oxford slump was less of a wilder thing and more of just an oxford thing.

Oxford conspicuous by their absence today? Not even a match thread? Have they given up?

Sure. Unfortunately you'll also be getting Colchester. Hopefully Crewe and Fleetwood will be winging their way to you too.
I've never been to Colchester's ground but from the sounds of it, it doesn't strike me as a must-visit!

It isn't. If you've been to Shrewsbury, you've been to Col U. Although Shrewsbury is a much nicer place to visit!

But Oxford fans always bring Wilder up?

Literally been posting about it in this thread both yesterday and today but don't worry about it.

Not much point making a separate thread to discuss it because it'd just be Oxford fans and we have a separate forum for that.

I'm not one of those that comments about that. But it's just funny that loads of comments on twitter etc from oxford fans expecting us to suffer the standard wilder drop in form and yet it's happened to you guys.

So funny that I fear my sides have split from laughing.

3rd not looking entirely beyond our capabilities now.... A run of 3 games against Portsmouth Plymouth and Wycombe in 8 days at end of March starting to look massive now. All at home too. Exciting times!

Thought that you all had already moved to the League One threads...

We'll stop Northampton.

Come on L2 it's just Northampton Town ffs, I don't know how all these pathetic teams have got beat so easily off them. The 5th of March is when they'll be kicked right in the bollocks.

Gonna set Ibehre on them, we'll beat them nee problem!

How did we get beaten so easily when we lost 1-0? we had some chances as well.

One half chance from a free kick and a long range hit near the end. It should have been 2/3/4 and would have been if a blatant pen was given, Collins buried his two good chances and O'Toole's effort wasn't cleared off the line. Should have scored more!

Incidentally our last home game against Luton is near to selling out, could be the game where we are presented with the title so understandably our limited capacity is selling out sharpish. Wish we had 9/10,000 like we should have by now. Fucking Cardoza. The days you're glad you've got a season ticket through the shit times.

I thought Wycombe were very un Wycombe like. Just lacked a cutting edge up front. We should have scored a few more probably, not sure Wycombe had an actual clear cut chance, some half chances.

Yeah we had 2 key players missing up front with Paris Cowan-Hall out injured and Gary Thompson suspended. We had to loan out Holloway as he was pissed off with not starting so sulked and Ainsworth got him away from the other players as it seems he was bringing the dressing room down,so that left us well short of striking options.

One of the better sides I've seen anyway, more impressive than Oxford were on the Tuesday before.

Well Mowgil I hear that you had very few chances and should of got beat by more.

You know I think it would be great if Carlisle got Wycombe in the play offs, really would be good for some nice revenge and I would like to see Ibehre do something nasty to that runt Hayes.
