It's nothing to do with size of club Carver. He's looking at our squad i.e the players we have to put on the pitch, not the stadium, not our record transfer fee, not anything else, only our playing squad... and he's looking and thinking top 3 will in the end prove a step too far for this small squad.
And I agree. I think we're too light. We've been quite lucky with no serious injuries so far, but we don't have the squad to cope if/when one or two of our key players picks up a bad injury.
I think we'll definitely need additions in January.
