I think 7 points from the last 3 could see us up... That means 2 wins from our home games vs Daggers and Hartlepool, and a draw at Cambridge..who are looking a tough prospect.

For purely selfish reasons, if we achieved promotion, I hope Bristol come up with us and Oxford/Portsmouth in the playoffs so then at least we have some (relatively for Plymouth) close teams in L1. I think the second closest team to us geographically up there at the moment is Millwall some 250 miles away!

Having said that, I think Accrington will go up, and fair play to them, a fantastic story and lesson on how to run a football club.

Since Hignett has gone in at Hartlepool, that game looks a lot tougher now. I hope Accrington go up as they are by far the best side I've seen at the Abbey this season so far.

Feeling pretty much the same as I did after we lost at Barnet, a little nervous but we'll probably go on and win saturday now.

I just filled out that predictor again and even with us only picking up 2 more points this season we still hanged onto to a playoff spot.

Huge game on saturday, a win will pretty much guarantee us a playoff spot, draw wouldn't be a disaster as it would ensure we'd still be 4 points clear off 8th with a much better GD than anyone below us.

Few people on POL last night with the whole Cook Out, hope they woke up this morning and regret even thinking about it. Cook has been the most succesful manager we've had in about 6-7 years and he's not even been here a whole season. The way we play has drastically improved although we could definitely do with signing one or two experienced lower league players in the summer.

If we do make the playoffs, I'd like to face Accrington or Bristol Rovers.

Bristol Rovers and Accrington would be the ones I would have thought you would want to avoid. Accrington were probably the best team to visit Sixfields this year and most other teams seem to think the same.

Looking at Accrington's remaining fixtures, they look likely to maintain that auto spot in my opinion. They're the only team I don't want to go up, however, we need as many northern games as possible. Bristol Rovers and Plymouth up through the autos and Pompey to win the playoffs would even it up a bit.

If Pompey drop out the playoffs I think I may piss myself laughing.

Beat Rovers home and away, won at Stanley and a 0-0 at our place. Would be no easy games but Plymouth and Oxford are the stronger of the sides we could face.

If only Play Off results always worked out as you suggested. Football is a funny old game.

Accrington, Plymouth and Bristol Rovers can go up in that book - we'll keep Oxford, Portsmouth, Wimbledon and Wycombe in the division thanks. Braintree coming up would be handy too, plus Colchester coming down. Keep the South Eastern numbers up since we're losing Northampton and Dagenham. ;-)

Plymouth's result isn't the only coupon buster so far. Middlesboro are still drawing at home to Ipswich, and Charlton are holding Brighton to a draw too.

That's you lot out of it now Mowgli. Defo needed 3 pts today.
To be fair i didn't think we would get anything today, had we got in the play offs we would have only embarrassed ourselves as we are nowhere near as good a team as last season. hang on Sido Jombati just pulled a goal back.

Season over. Well done Wimbledon on overtaking us and may the best team win in the playoffs.

Bad choke from Plymouth today even if the fightback was heroic - they had 36 fricking shots for fvck's sake, it'd take us about 5 games to have that many. But I suppose better to get the shit performance out of the system now rather than in the playoffs themselves.

Your season isn't over, you still have to help your gashead friends get promoted automatically:2thumb:

Our next game is against Oxford, so if we can stop them going up it will be good to piss one of their fans off, I think you all know who I'm talking about.

 Chill Carver. Hating a club just because you can't stand one of their fans isn't a logical thing to do. It's only a footy forum on the internet ffs!

Bristol Rovers must be pretty confident now with the relegated 2 to play...but then Plymouth probably thought that today!

I personally appreciate the sentiment though! ;)

Nervy today but a good result, Exeter a bloody good side. Build some momentum for the POs by winning our next two, if someone slips up then great.

Much needed win today, played really well in the first half and should have had the game sewn up. Credit to Doyle for not knocking Bean out towards the end, kept his cool and we saw out the game.
