They are actually. Any side with Miller in it is dangerous. However, they do concede a lot of goals so the fact that we only scored one today is very poor, and another nail in Derry's coffin.

As for Miller, he's clearly quite talented and could play at a much higher level but only if he's willing to change his attitude and learns to control his temper. Apparently this is the main reason why several League clubs aren't interested in his services.

ps -. that footage for the pen incident isn't the best and yes it does look like a soft one, but the Exeter's lad had his right arm out, so I have my doubts.

......... Ampadu was absolute class in midfield today. I can't stress at just how good he is, it's amazing he's only recently turned 16. The Luton staff were also very impressed. Nathan Jones made the effort to shake his hand and praise his performance as he came off, as did the rest of the Luton staff at full time.

Our Commentator raved about him too.

Miller really didn't look like he was cut out for League Two level when he was with us tbh, obviously quality at Conference level. Limited opportunities in a team that didn't create a lot of chances in fairness, so perhaps in another team he could make the step up.

Can't imagine the way he left us encouraging too many clubs to take a punt however.

Should've won today, and likely would've were it not for a stupid red card. Thought Crewe were poor although they did look the more likely winners towards the end as we tired.

Agree with GOG, we played well first half but second half didn't have a meaningful shot on target which is piss poor.

The ref was poor all round but the bottom line is that we cannot defend for toffee. That's now 9 home defeats this season. NINE and we're in early November.

Thought Luton were ok and Hylton certainly became the pantomime villain but fair play, his two pens were great. Think the ref was right to book Ruddock so the sending off was fair. The first pen was soft but he got on the wrong side of our defender and as soon as he does that you're asking for trouble.

Overall, not good enough again and I cannot see us taking any points from our next two homes against Donny and Luton once again.

Its frustrating that we can't seem to play as well as that in our league games - especially at home!!

How on earth did Exeter's Wheeler only get booked for his forearm smash on Pelly?!? And maybe there's something that happens off camera but from the highlights the decision to send Pelly off is messed up.

My best guess is that neither the ref nor his officials saw the incident and he just decided to split the difference and book both players.

On the other hand both pens look decidedly soft so can see why Exeter fans were pissed off as well.

Yeah that refereeing is unbelievably bad based on those highlights Both pens extremely soft to put it mildly, the second one is just a blatant dive after CMS trips over his own feet and realises he has shanked the opportunity (guess he hasn't lost his touch during his injury lay-off...). Exeter player had to walk for the elbow, that's as blatant as it gets. Can't see what Pelly did wrong apart from get straight back up rather than roll around like he had been shot.

Disagree about the Ruddock sending off to be honest. If he had kicked the ball away to stop Wheeler from getting it, it would have been a sending off, so what's the difference with him running after a ball he knew wasn't his, and holding on to it? Both are wasting time, both are stopping the opposition from getting the ball and restarting play, so for me, both deserve yellow cards. Obviously, no excuses for Wheeler, he should have walked too.

I've only seen the highlights, but a very stupid red card from Kyle Storer. The rest of the team deserve credit for getting a draw afterwards.

As stupid as the red card was, I worry for us as our decent run (unbeaten in 8 now) has coincided with Storer coming back into the team.

I'm not saying it wasn't deliberate though. He tried to get the ball back and although it was very much heat of the moment, the way he did it was wrong. In a hypothetical world, if they could upgrade his yellow card to a red, (despite you seemingly suggesting it would be appropriate) Wheeler would get nowhere near the 12 game ban given to Calvin Andrew, and that's because it was nowhere near as bad.

It's not as bad as Calvin Andrew but he does deserve a ban for that. Agree with the Exeter fans though Pelly should have just left the ball there, it's a yellow and therefore he's rightly been sent off, stupidity from both players really, just Wheelers the more dangerous.

The pens looked very soft to me as well, so looks like we've got a bit lucky to go through.

Really disappointed in Pelly as I want to see him back in the starting 11, the ball acrosd for 2nd shows his ability.

He won't go in January. He's in year 11 at school and at the moment he's training in the mornings with the first team and then heads off to school for the afternoon. He's got his GCSE's this year so the word is, he's staying down here until they're finished with and then he'll have his choice on whether to sign a professional contract with us or head off to one of the big clubs (his dad is currently a coach at Arsenal...). He's played 9 times this season which include 7 starts, and is off with the Wales under 19s next week for their UEFA qualifiers. There's no doubt the club will do absolutely everything they can to get him to sign professional terms as I think that's the only way we'll be able get what he's actually worth when he does eventually depart which would be massive for the club.

Do I think he'll stay beyond the end of the season? I can't see it personally.

We should've wrapped the game up and were probably slightly, just, the better team overall, but I can't really sit here and argue against a draw because once again we were piss poor and largely uninspiring against a bang average Dover team.

The game in itself yesterday wouldn't warrant a sacking but I think for many, including me, yet another tepid home display such as that was the final straw, sadly I don't think the board, the chairman in particular, see it the same way and I suspect he will be in charge for our annual dross defeat at Crawley next week, and probably to see us go out of the cup the Tuesday after too. Thankfully, I'm going on holiday for the next 3 proper games so I won't have to endure it .
