Is there a reason you keep referring to Bury in the third person? Are you a Bury fan or not?

I would not bother paying any attention to a single thing that he posts. You would get more sense out of Scooby Doo, or David Flitcroft for that matter. :fl:

Pay attention idiots, after yesterday v Huddersfield Mayor told to find a club. Flitcroft in for him, Jones, Cameron, Tutte. At least 1 almost a done deal.

Why would Mayor be told to find a club? He's one of our best players

In fact, why we'd let 4 first team players go to a side in a lower division managed by Flitcroft I don't know. Then you'd really have something to moan about!

I'd have thought that Mayor and Cameron would command fees, whilst Jones and Tutte both signed new deals this summer??

Good news bad news, 50/50 on this. Rob Edwards out injured for a good while, knee trouble, probably had no medical. Not bothered about this as for me been the worst Summer signing, closely followed by Campbell and Headman. Skarz possible broken bone. He will be missed.

Who the fuck is Campbell? And it's Phil not Rob.

Danny Mayor starts tonight. Craig Jones and Phil Edwards on the bench. Even Neil Danns is playing :eyes:

Well I was at the game, Jones was nowhere near the bench, wasn't even there. Edwards was sat near me holding crutches. Op on Wednesday out for the season.

Edwards out for the season, probably never had a medical. Probably not the best signing we made anyway.

He isn't our for the season though is he. The article from the club about Edwards injury says 4 weeks from now...

Can you do us a favour and be a little less depressing, 90% of your doom and gloom predictions have proved incorrect.

Found this post that summaries the 15/16 season under Flitcroft. I think that I called it quite well with my predictions for last season.

God forbid that deluded, egotistical and genuinely crap manager ever set foot in the Bury FC dugout again.

How you feel about your season right now

I just want it to end now with us sat in 16th position. I am hoping that we won't get dragged into the relegation fight despite getting to 50 points on good friday

How would you have felt in the summer about where you are now

Considering the buzz after promotion, the talented tight knit squad, rumours of youngsters breaking through into the team, several high profile signings and a manager claiming to have learned from his mistakes, I would have been shocked if someone told me that with 6 games to go we would be where we are.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Slow start, very good late summer and autumn (we were 3rd), inconsistent then leading up until Christmas and nothing short of pathetic ever since save a couple of decent home wins.

Best signing

Leon Clarke or Peter Clarke. Pope would have been up there had our idiot of a manager not mis managed him.

Worst signing

Take your pick from a number of poor/average keepers then there has been Reece Brown and Pugh (though the latter was MOTM on Monday.)

Best player

Either of the Clarkes

Worst player

As a whole I would say Pugh has been a waste of space, stupidly our manager plays him most weeks in a number of positions whilst freezing others out.

Most missed

Nicky Adams who Flitcroft stupidly released would have offered some depth and balance in midfield. He would have played with a thousand times more passion than some of the dross that played there during the season.

Moments to remember

The 1-0 FA Cup win at Dale was a great performance and a brilliant atmosphere with nearly 50% of the crowd Bury fans, it seemed like we were really going places after that but it has not really materialised. I was not present for the Sheffield United away win but the 1-0 win at gigg lane coming straight after the 6-0 defeat at Coventry was a real battling performance.

Moments to forget

6-0 away at Coventry (3-0 down after 20 mins) starring blankly at the pitch wondering why I was there.
3-0 away at Wigan (3-0 down after 20 mins) as above, starring blankly at the pitch knowing another away game had been ruined by sheer ineptitude from the manager.
3-0 away at Rochdale (2-0 down after 20 mins) and it could have been 3 or 4 at half time and it would not have flattered the home side.
1-0 away at Port Vale, team looked gutless and Flitcroft's solution was to put a yts striker on the wing, 5 mins of injury time and we didn't even get near their box.
Starting one up front at home for a series of games despite having numerous striking options.
0-0 at home to Crewe, failing to beat the bottom team is one thing but starting 6 central midfielders (two on the wing, one at right back and one at centre half) whilst two wingers and a full back were on the bench takes stupidity to a new level. Bafflingly Flitcroft tried to claim it had been a great performance and we had just been unlucky. If we'd had the right players on the pitch in the right positions we would have won this game. We had started well then petered out as we had no width with central midfielders on the wing and on at right back trying the overlap. It nearly ended embarrassingly with Crewe almost scoring a late goal.
All the questions off the pitch not being answered and realising we are owned by people who have very little regard for the supporters.

This season summed up in a single game

Probably the Crewe game, started well, petered out badly to the point it nearly turned embarrassing, just about made it over the line with a bare minimum that we expected (god willing we do enough to see ourselves safely over the line.)

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

Nothing

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

Flitcroft has failed at this level, his transfer policy with a budget last summer was terrible, his budget will be reduced next season, a few big names will be gone in the summer and I don't trust Flitcroft to find adequate replacements. He has also proved that, despite claiming he likes to blood the kids that he is more than happy to ignore them or give them cameos out of position. Crowds will drop and our questions about our owners will continue to go unanswered.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We overspent hugely to finish in lower mid table.

What to expect next season

Unless something drastically changes with our manager and owners we will struggle hugely next season.

Well it has taken just two games and the **** board has already gone into meltdown. How dare we lose to Sunderland in the league cup, it is going to be a bad season now apparently.

I thought Bury had easily bought a top 6 side :bg1: ....Beckford, Ajose, Dawson were the cream of the division last I heard, surely you guys not written them of 2 games in.

Not sure where you heard that? Many Bury fans go from one extreme to the other, it's going to take 10-15 games before we are probably able to gel. A top 10 finish would be fine for me.

Spee on the Bury board an absolute bell end. Probably never kicked a ball at a decent level. Talks absolute bullshit. Must go on Wiki for his info. Why follow Bury when your a plastic cockney. Keep your views to yourself you clown. You should be banned for the derogatory comments you make about most of the staff and squad.

Heard it mainly from Bury fans at work as I work for SixTownHousing in Bury.

For future reference please don't refer to any posts on here from UTS or Burberry as you may just get needless insults or total dross posted.
Re Bury, our fans were getting very excited over the signings and then quickly deflated by one defeat. Whilst we have made some good signings we have cut the squad down and let the odd big player go and we have several big players out injured already, some still ongoing from last season, others have happened this season.
As TA says the team needs time to gel, I'd take top ten and a push for the playoffs, especially after the last two seasons that we have had in league one. I like Clark, but his ridiculous swinging door policy concerns me and it is that which could easily effect how our season pans out.

Clarke is making this club a laughing stock of the football league. Day must have blinkers on allowing him to do what he's doing.
