Wouldn't be surprised if Adams goes to Salford, as it'll be a decent and regular wage and not far from where he currently lives.

Can't see him dropping back into League Two for anyone else though. He's essentially earned promotion three times in the past four years without ever getting the chance to enjoy it (promoted twice before leaving for personal reasons, while his form with us should have been enough to get us promoted and his injury was one of the key factors in us falling away).

For the second time in just over a year he's had to leave a club because of how they've treated him. If anyone deserves the chance to compete in League One, it's Nicky Adams.

I reckon he'll sign for someone like Fleetwood, maybe even Accrington, though he'd have to take a pay cut, playing for a well-run club on relatively low wages beats not being paid.

Supporters trust trying to put us in admin with the help of the council and a major creditor. Dale FAILED the fit and proper persons test but then it was too late to stop. Well Done EFL.

In fairness, your previous owner was just as bad, if not worse. There comes a point where your supporter groups have to properly scrutinise owners when (or before) they come on board and oppose them actively from within before things get to this stage.

Oh I know Day is the one and main reason for the position we are in today. It annoys me that he's been allowed to sneak off. Apparently the fraud squad have been contacted too so we will have to see where that goes. We should have been put in admin in Jan and Dale should not have been allowed to take over.

But aren't Forever Bury; (your Supporters Trust) as much to blame as anyone?

They held a large number of shares in the football club, and were originally strongly opposed to Stuart Day taking control. Forever Bury lobbied their members to give them Proxy votes in order to add weight towards their fight against his takeover, and plenty complied, meaning their shares were vital in terms of whether his takeover could go ahead.

On the eve of the vote, they held a last ditch meeting with Stuart Day, at which they were offered a place on the Board, and bingo, they changed their mind, and voted in favour of his take over; thus losing their shares, and going directly against their members wishes.

Their place on the Board was a sham...I don't think they even looked at the terms of the offer, because it was only for a one year place...after which they would have to pay thousands of £'s each year.

How can they be trusted again following this ?

In a way we are all to blame but FB must take a large share(pardon the pun)
However they do seem (and I have always been sceptical about them) to have been part of a large effort that "may" save the club.

If the clubs goes into admin is there not a rule for Football League teams where they have to guarantee at least 35p in pound to all creditors? Given some of the figures being mentioned, where's the money to cover the 35% coming from?

Cheeky, we use electronic buckets these days
If I was a fan of any other club I would NOT contribute to our batshit crazy club. However we seem to have 2 buyers in the wings and the admin threat may just be to force bad santa into selling, or not!!

If everyone ends up on a free at Bury (hope they don't, as my Shaker supporting friends are good blokes) then I wouldn't mind Aimson making the trip down the B6222. Seems to be a solid, competent defender who chips in with his share of goals from set pieces. Stephen Dawson has been mentioned on our forum, but seems to have been injured most of the last couple of years.

Anything at all happening with you fellas? Or is it a state of limbo waiting for the courts, FA, someone to make something happen?

Waiting for a CVA to be agreed.. 19th I think. If that’s not finalised I would say that we are goosed. But who really knows anymore.

Good luck to Bury FC and most importantly hope if the worst happens the fans can get together and sort something out. One my earliest memories of the Stadium of Light was playing Bury in the old first division.
