CVA being voted on @ 11:30
Not passed then liquidation most likely.
If it is passed and defaulted on in the 6 month timescale Grizzly should have his collar felt for Fraud.
The SFO are supposed to be investigating, HMRC had a mandated meeting with Grizzly, arrest warrant supposed to be the penalty for no show, he didnt show!! (Aledgley)

Yes, hope something good comes out of it. Surely some sort of CVA means creditors are more likely to get money than just liquidating the club? There again, what do I know about this sort of thing.

Genuinely think we're going to have a tough game against Bury on opening day. They'll obviously be wanting to fight for every point from the off to reverse the -12, but also they've apparently got 27 players training with them, surely a few of them will be half decent and want to either get noticed for a move elsewhere if the pay situation is still volatile.

It won't be an easy 5-0 away win for us that's for sure.

You read the statement by Steve Dale then? However another part says The Shakers currently have just six players under contract.

Sorry, but however hard they try anything other than a win is failure.

Glad to hear you’ve had a stay of execution and hopefully you can sort things round.

If the players get some kind of assurance over pay, then those not under contract who are on trial or on short term/rolling contracts will be even more motivated to show what they can do and get a longer term deal at Bury or elsewhere.

I agree we should still win the game given the circumstances (and especially considering our squad and the signings we've made are far better than what Bury have), but it won't be a walkover.

From the outside looking in today's outcome looks a decent result, going to be a tough year but there's still a club to support and it looks like you will start the season in Div1.
Could have been the end today so hopefully things move onwards from here.

It's obviously not looking good now but is there an argument to make Bury will come out of this sorry saga in a better position than they started it? Chances are they'll end up back in L2 but they should - emphasis on should - be financially prudent and should finally stop dishing out salaries they quite clearly can't afford. That has to be a good thing.

Don't bank on it. Why should they?

Still a lot to do to even contemplate thinking of us starting the season.. will Dale keep up with the CVA payments? Is he going to sell? Still not confident of anything yet.

-12 applied but we are appealing (not to most people but you know what I mean)
If we can apply the CVA and only get 25% of the points we are only 3 behind!!
Not confident yet, Grizzly still needs to fund both the CVA and the secured creditors.
Light at the end of the tunnel? May be, we will have to wait and see.
Thought are with all the small business we have shafted, again.

Not wanting to kick you while you are down but how the hell can you appeal against the points deduction? What could you use to mitigate down to 3?

So they don't go bust?
And yeah, as above. Don't really see what the grounds for appeal are, EFL rule on insolvency is pretty cut and dry.

Absoloute waste of everyones time appealing. Even if we had a case the EFL arent going to change their mind.

The debt in theory has been quartered, however it is still debt.

We are still in debt, with a weasel owner and no players.

All yesterday meant is that we can actually start the season (on -12) rather than go bust in the off season.

If IF Dale sells up to a decent owner, one that’s got a sensible head on their shoulders, we take the relegation back to L2 but with less debt and a more sustainable future.

Don't get the love in for the shakers fans and bury wishing them good luck I wanted the cheats to get what they deserved assembled a squad they couldn't sustain there should be points deductions for non payment of wages if they go a month over It's the Mansfield and Colchester fans I feel sorry for done out of promotion and a play off spot . I know we sail close to the wind most of the time and our owner is a complete idiot and it may be we are heading in the same direction but if it happens I don't expect people to tell me they feel sorry for us

Take them salty tears somewhere else please. No one has asked for other fans to feel sorry for us on here.
Like you say Oldham arent far behind, maybe you should concentrate on whats going on at your club.

Pity your fans didn't concentrate what was going on at yours

Yes, because it's the fans fault that we had an owner that borrowed money here there and everywhere with no intention of paying it back.. what are you doing to get your owner out?

Today was a major day for our beloved Club, the old girl is safe. The CVA was passed so our future is secured as I said I would.

Wat. Even their club statements are pure entertainment atm.

Thats not Grizzly at his worst, he was almost on his best behaviour in that statement.
Have you seen any of the youtube clips from Nantwich?

Bolton now looking in worse shape than Bury...apparently two of their seven remaining players have given notice to cancel their contracts (Oztumer and Magennis) and the rest likely soon to follow

That's leaves them with five players, two of which are goalkeepers. Friendlies cancelled too and 12 days until the new season starts.

Players wise you are correct, but in regards to off field issues, no where near as bad as Bury, the club still own the car parks, stadium, training ground and other assets. The issue for the hold up is that there are two administrators, one for the club and one for the Hotel, thhe people buying the Club also want the hotel, and this is where the delay is
