They deserve to go out and am glad they didn't sneak it in the end, would have only papered over the cracks. We've hit a new low in this form of the game, shameful.

Can only say what has already been said.........Thank fuck for that we are an embarrassment .Moores has to go and as for the saviour Morgan go away and never return.Bopara and Tredwell must be laughing there heads off, never got a game so can't be blamed for another fiasco,Cook must be wetting himself as well.I'm a big Essex fan and even I knew Cook wasn't right but to give it to a reputation player was asking for trouble.Tippy tap cricket over and now for the Ashes 0-5 is a certainty

Jesus that was embarrassing.

Surely got to give KP a comeback, this dross has been going on for too long now.

It doesn't say on the app, but how many balls did Bell face to reach 63? I'm gunna hazard a guess at 90+?

KP isn't going to fix anything. He may give us a few more runs short term but that's just papering over a monumental crack. Would personally tell Moores and KP to both feck off out of the picture, they are poisonous.

KP no way......he is just a publicity seeker his image is all that matters to him that's why he's never out of the papers and someone else living on reputation.Moores just summed himself up completely when he said we were missing two players and then said JONATHAN TROTT fuck me scrape the barrel why don't you if he is the our answer to our run rate problem then I must be missing something what a prick Moores is.

Peter Moores: "We thought 275 was chaseable. We'll have to look at the data."

:fl::fl:

Well they should have the confidence to do that against Bangladesh without needing data to help them!

well exactly, it's been said we're obsessed with data and not allowing players to express themselves and moores quote just sums up how far behind we are in one day games.

To be fair, Bell batter pretty well, he just cannot convert 50's into 100's which is what you need to do.

but you see the likes of finch, Warner, de villiers mccullum etc that are constantly getting centuries with very high run rates... So jealous :(

Yeah, the idea that KP is the difference between us winning and losing is batshit.

I still maintain that the players are fine - it's the culture and coaching that needs wiping out and starting again

No way KP should be anywhere near the England team after everything he's said and done since leaving, he's burnt too many bridges.

Hales needs to come in and open with Ali, Taylor needs to be 3, need a overhaul of the one day squad in many aspects.

What a fucking joke.

Sack Morse, didn't work the first time, even worse this time.

Pathetic, may as well go home now.

He should lose his job for saying that alone.

Even though we're all aware of our levels of shit, somehow we still have the ability to find an even great depth to sink to. We're so far behind in 50 overs cricket that it's embarrassing. Sadly though nothing will change, it will be exact same approach (and result) the next time we play an ODI series.

This is the best possible outcome. We have to take action and look at our approach now. A win would have only masked problems and given them something to cling on to.

Wouldn't be surprised if we lost to Afghanistan for fuck sake, they'll certainly be up for it more than we will.

Not a big of fight between the squad, pathetic.

Whatever we do in Australia recently has been a disaster, and this is just as embarrassing as The Ashes whitewash.

We've won the toss in the majority of games in this tournament, it's pathetic.

Boycott and Agnew both said that it's one of the biggest low's they've ever seen since covering English cricket.

Might get a message across to the hierarchy, if the fact that they couldn't chase a total of 275 on a flat pitch against Bangladesh didn't.

Afganistan's bowlers are better than ours. Their order probably has more bollocks too.

Anyway, I hope that selectors don't use today's scores of Bell and Hales to keep Bell in the side over him. I'm starting to dislike Bell in the way I disliked Cook, which is a shame as he's a fine test player (so is Cook though to be fair).

We should make Root captain imo. I wouldn't be against a short KP recall either!

Imo:
Skipper either Taylor or Root (Taylor has been Notts one day skipper?)
1) Hales
2) Roy
3) Taylor
4) Vince
5) Root
6) Ali
7) Buttler (float depend on situation)
8) Woakes
9) ?
10) ?
11) ?

Bowling options:
Finn, Willey, Jamie Overton maybe, Dunn, Gurney.

I'd keep Root at 4. I'm still not writing off Ballance yet. Think the way they chucked him in for the final warm up game killed him imo, he wasn't up to scratch after missing games through injury.

Ballance is a good shout, but Hales deserves his chance to have a stint opening and Roy is going to be a big talent so they should open, Taylor has done best at 3 and shouldn't have been moved and Vince needs to be top 4 really, Root would be more than capable at 5.

Ballance will make a good number 3 or 4 in the test arena for many years to come, he's the future Trott. But his ODI game is just dour. No tempo, no feet, no skill, no intent - just all wrong for a good number 3 I'm afraid. Those bowling options look awful. Never been overally keen on Gurney in international cricket, Finn can go all round the park. Overton might be a good shout. Woakes is just such an average bowler and play in general too. Wouldn't be in my squads.

If see how Jamie Overton gets on this season before considering him for odi's. And to be honest, I actually think his twin Craig is better. Good batsman too.
