Back to the World Cup, anyone else fancy New Zealand to win this? Had £20 on the before to win it.

Depends who they draw, South Africa look on fire and Aus will be difficult, however if they get India then you never know.

Bare woke up? wtf?

It's a phrase we use in London, put's like a 'i can't believe it' or 'i'm surprised that' or 'how can you do that' tone on whatever you say next.

Martin guptill 237 from 163, what an innings! NZ look a real force in this tournament, they'll win it I think.

Got South Africa in the semis - reckon Kiwis will win that.

India to upset the Aussies?

He is a reasonable one day bowler but his first class record over the last few years is dismal. He averaged is 56.7 in the second division of the county championship the year before last and ended up playing in the second team at Kent. Kent! Kerrigan's confidence has taken a pretty significant knock so I understand why they haven't picked him, but I'd rather see the first choice spin bowler at pretty much any of the other counties get a call up than Tredwell.

Tredders has been the water boy for god knows how long, he deserves a chance. Are there really that many better alternatives? (English ones that is)

I'm definitely hoping NZ manage to go all the way. Some of the cricket they've played has been out of this world. It'd be great to see a new team on top of the pile.

Their semi-final with SA should be a cracker.

They'll match up very well imo. We have seen it from SA thus far, but they're capable of completely bowling out a side, as are NZ. But, they can both score tons.

Bit like when NZ played AUS really.

I think it comes down to individual performances on the day. Like you say, both teams have players capable of winning games on their own. It all depends who turns up and delivers, and who doesn't. I fancy NZ.

Fantastic game that was, brillant atmosphere too. Really hope NZ smash the Aussies on home turf.

Cook was chirping a lot after our WC exit.

Well being honest if his form doesn't pick up against the West Indies is his place against the Aussies that secure?

I know he's skipper and all but you can't carry a player like that, Vaughan showed that towards the end of his career.

Cook is still one of our best batsmen in tests, the ODI circus pre-WC shouldn't change that.

True, but let's not forget the position he was in after India smashed us at Lords. He didn't do THAT WELL thereafter, the bowlers decided to turn up and our groundsman let us play on what were effectively 'fields'.
