68-3 at the close. I think would just about take that. The last test I mentioned Duckett never leaving which is fine but on a quicker pitch like this one there’s a lot more risk involved. Crawley did Crawley things by looking good then getting out to a nothing shot.

Root and Bairstow hopefully can go big tomorrow. Forecast to be hot and sunny so no reason they shouldn’t.

Can't wait to see the bedwetting tomorrow when Cummins and Boland ripe the pommies a new one.

Let’s hope we can have a partnership like the Aussies then we will be even at least.

Looks like a good day for batting - but I am 200 miles away !

Not a great start!

Come on Stokes.

Another big one required.

Moeen was going so well and playing a responsible knock and then gets out playing a shot like that having gotten away with it on his previous one. Not very smart.

Yeah we need to make the most of this now and get somewhere around 450 and put their second innings under real pressure.
Well with a bit of luck we might make 150 at least.

Stokes doing it all on one leg .

We will get very close now .

Probably makes those dropped catches even more annoying .

Basically a one innings shootout now. It’s amazing how Stokes keeps doing this. The more injured he is the better he bats.

Great little cameo from Wood got the session off to a flyer. All told 26 behind on change of innings which I think how it looked at lunch you wouldn’t have minded that.

2 big wickets by Ali.

Caused Smith to play a bad shot .

Big moments but the way each test in this series has swung the pendulum will no doubt go back and forth about 10 more times before this is done.

Decent position for England at the close. Well done to Moeen, held an end down brilliantly and let the seamers work away at the other end. The Aussies got a bit stuck for scoring and as such kept us well in it even when wickets weren’t falling,

Morning session will be crucial for England to win this test. Just Carey and the tail to come after these so I reckon the test will be over tomorrow and all being well with an England win.

I’m not that worried about that to be honest. The real positive with Bazball is it advances the game so quickly we are not even halfway into the test and only 6 wickets remain in the third innings. One way or another there’ll be a result in this.

If anything this rain delay today is perfect for England with Robinson and Stokes not able to bowl to get the likes of Wood to recharge their batteries even more. Likely only going to get short spells of play today if any so should mean they can charge in and the Aussie batters are pretty much in a no win situation.

251 to win. I’ve got England as favourites but I really haven’t liked this short ball stuff (from either team). It’s just really shit cricket.

England got a tricky 20 minutes to bat now with time lost for change of innings. Ultimate Bazball move right now is send out Broad as the nighthawk.

251 I would’ve taken that but you know that if we do get it it will be with drama, 7 or 8 wickets down and hanging on.

Ashes last chance saloon this morning. Need to get Marsh out quickly.
But you would still need to bat.

Phase one complete getting through tonight unscathed. Not without the odd scare but knocked a nice little chunk off the target and Australia wasted a review. Another great finish in store.
