Lawrence is a very accomplished county player and I feel with a bit of nurturing and good coach could become an established international player. I remember there was a lot of talk about him on the county circuit so a decent possibility.

Moeen, Woakes and Wood into the lineup. I’m glad Wood is playing, now can give them some real chin music and adds a real difference to the attack in terms of speed. Woakes should shore up the batting and just hope Moeen can last this time.

Brook batting at three is an interesting move. Not sure how I feel on that one.

Perhaps, probably more a case of resting him for Old Trafford with the quick turnaround.

Brook is capable but to me there is a high risk with Crawley around he is in against the new ball very early. Not sure how often he’d have done that before whether for Yorkshire or England.

Brilliant morning session from England. Wood has been a real difference maker with that raw pace of his. The Aussie batsmen don’t look quite as comfortable in their shot making any more. Think he got one up to 96.5mph, all I can say is I’m glad I wouldn’t have to face that. Would be backing off to square leg before he hit his delivery stride.
