Their spinners have certainly turned the game excuse the pun.

Shows how things can change in a day.

Just try to nudge the lead over 200 if we can and then I think there’s more than a fighting chance of England winning this still. India did collapse chasing a similar total in the first test so pressure could do strange things to them.

Utter sh1te. I really believed that England would set India 250+

Apart from Crawley they were like rabbits in headlights.

Massively disappointed after getting into a strong position.

India 5 down now. The bowling has been magnificent from England. Just wish they had another 30-40 runs to play with and they’d probably be favourites then. As it is India will likely get over the line but great to see them made to work for it.

I can't describe how utterly disappointed I am with that 2nd innings collapse. The game was there for the taking. Too many players not turning up regularly enough. The only thing this series will be remembered for is the arrival of Bashir.

That 6th wicket partnership of India's was the way forward. Excellent control and when the finishing line appeared two sixes smashed. I'm done with Bazball. Only works against the weaker sides. Rant over.

First ball of the day I caught was Kuldeep getting Crawley...stomached it until the horror show of what 6 wickets in 6 overs then gave up :dk:

Thank goodness it’s all over!

We seemed to get worse as the series went or they improved.

I wonder if McCallum and Stokes will do the right thing. That's the most humiliating series defeat since the Windies black-washes of the 70s.

Really? Compared to the 5-0 Ashes defeat under Cook this one doesn’t touch the sides in comparison or losing to the current Windies under Root? Firstly India are just a better squad certainly with better depth but England were in most of the tests and when it came time to press the advantage they didn’t. That’s the frustration but I don’t think it’s a resigning or sacking matter.

As in change the tactics occasionally against better sides particularly away from home.

They won’t leave - been seen as very positive since coming in .

Wow looks like this summer really will be it for Jimmy. What an absolute legend. Could argue his career past the age of 35 has been some of his finest work. If anyone earned the right to go out on their own terms it’s him

Looks like you’ll get your wish then Masi with him retiring after the Lords test. Was hoping would get the whole summer as a farewell tour but then I suppose with how Anderson is that’s the last thing he’d want.

Wonderful to see the USA beat Pakistan in a super over. It’s always Pakistan and England who find themselves in these situations. Pakistan truth be told were dire in the field and deserved to lose this. They’re just as likely to go and beat India next up though.

England unchanged for the clash with the Aussies. Wouldn’t class it as must win but a loss is going to leave us relying on NRR probably to go through.

Meanwhile South Africa (who I had down to win the whole thing) reduced to 12-4 chasing 104 against Netherlands. One of the genuinely good things about T20 has been how it has brought the smaller nations into the contest more.

The match in all honesty was done as a contest after the Aussies got way above par in their inning. Seemed to take the brain-trust within the England setup far too long to figure out that bowling cutters was the way to go for the seamers. Damage was long since done by when they finally went to that.

England should still go through unless there’s any more games rained off but even so I think the end of this tournament Buttler is best off standing aside as captain and Mott as coach.

They'll have hell of a deficit to make up in the run rate even if they win these last two matches .

Also think Jacks was a gamble that didn't pay off and I wonder if Bairstow is deserving selection these days.

Good to see England absolutely destroy Oman. Exactly what should he doing against teams like that. Huge boost to the hopes with the NRR after chasing the total down in just over 3 overs.
