Just about the worst draw we could have had. Bradford away twice in a month.

Oh well at least we'll be able to 'concentrate on the league'.
Mannigham twice in a month, you don't know how lucky you are.

You’ll win at least one of those games, we are absolutely woeful against whoever’s bottom of the league, it’s our kryptonite. We’ve already lost to Bury this season.

If Barnet at home wasn't a shite enough draw we've only gone and got fucking Crewe at home. We never get good draws [emoji23]

Hoping for a draw, haven't been to Crewe's ground before.

Well it certainly won't be this weekend. Our only source of goals (Carey) is suspended after picking up his 5th yellow vs Grimsby.

Lump on Bradford to win to nil. 0-0 might be good odds as well as we are capable of parking a decent bus.

Ours was because Millwall were at home on the Saturday, we never play at home on the same day. There is also the firework display at Blackheath which may have also been a factor although not as quite a big one.

You're right though, it's ridiculous. Heybridge Swifts for example having to go all the way to Exeter for a 2pm kick-off. It's madness.

As for the draw tonight, Wimbledon away is about as 'meh' as it gets.
Not thrilled with getting you either.

Exactly the draw I wanted and a lot of Wigan fans. 1,200 tickets apparently so will have to go and queue early. Nailed on Friday night BBC game. Non league v League, derby and the most recent FA Cup winners.

Gateshead v Luton and Slough v Rochdale on BT I would expect. The only 3 appealing ties really. Rest are non league away at league or all non league ties.
Online?!

The FA Cup draw should be revamped so it's like picking teams at school. Might get a few derbies out of it and the fat, smelly kids (us, Crewe, Luton etc) get paired up when the sporty kids have done picking each other.

Probably only around 3,000-3,500 home fans. Total attendance for Dover was 4,060 in the same round 4 years ago.
Happy with the draw being at home, we should get through it but it won't be easy at all.
We ought to have 600+ up there but a few have already talked about boycotting because well, as if you’re not used to that. We might have fetched more but away games versus league sides are becoming old hat here...

After the flare being thrown by idiots in the home end at the Hyde game and burning the 3G pitch, some Dons fans have started up a GoFundMe to raise some money to help the 8th tier side with the costs of repair.

It's become less and less as time goes on, especially after the cup game with AFC in 2012 where they brought 3,500 odd, but there's probably not a better chance that you could upset us than us being at home at the moment, so in my opinion it's the fans loss.

Fylde v Wigan will be on TV surely.

Gotta be a TV game this one. Great tie and must be the tie of the roind. would expect it to be a sellout with plenty of Wigan in the home end. Really looking forward to this one.

Shame there's never "plenty of Wigan in the home end" at the DW

Very origional, people don't understand that for years we have been fighting agaimst the likes Man utd, Liverpool, Everton, Man City, Bolton etc for fans. At the end of the day we are relatively new compared to these and kids have been brought up in Wigan supporting United, Liverpool etc. Give it 10/15 years and we will have good crowds. Unlike Oxford and Charlton that will continue to suffer in the lower leagues where they belong.

Nice try champ.

We've been competing against Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Palace, Fulham, Millwall etc since the very beginning.

Last time you were in this league you averaged around 9,000 whilst romping to the title. Last year we averaged over 11,000 and that's during a boycott and an extremely mediocre season, roughly about what you averaged in a league above.

Anyway, not getting into that as it's pointless and boring. The comment about plenty of Wigan being in the home end at a non league side amused me.

Fair play pal. Supppse any league team at a local non league team will sell out.
We were elected into the football league in 1978 so to be honest we have been playing catch up with the elite teams in our area unlike yourselves that were formed in 1905. We are a small club that has overacheived for years, especially spending 8 years in the premier and winning the famous FA Cup but hopefully in years ro come we do have the fanbase and can challenge to be in the premierleague again

Lets hope not :box: Apart from an FA Cup win, and losing a play off final in 2000, you have no history compared to other proper Lancashire teams in this division

So football league trophy in 85 and 99, Promotion from fourth division to Premier league within 10 years, 8 consecutive years in the Premier League with the lowest budget and beating all the big boys. 2006 Carling cup final v United, 2013 FA Cup Champions, 2014 FA Cup semi finalists, 2013/14 Europa League and Community Shield, Winning League One again 2016.. For saying we were formed in 1932 and elected into the football league 1978 that's not too bad..

Can you tell me with the exception of Blackburn what the other "proper" Lancashire teams have done in the last century? Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Blackpool? I'll wait

The jealousy and bitterness towards Wigan on this board is unreal and actually quite amusing:pmsl:

:hesk:Don't be upset

I am sure many clubs could 'over achieve' with almost unlimited funds at their disposal.
