Wrexham could probably get promoted without making any signings. They have a great team already.

They will add 4 quality players and breeze through

Notts have made the best signing so far plenty to come yet lots of very good players still available and free.

By signings I assume you mean McGoldrick? Correct me if I’m wrong but they’ve only signed 2 players - other being Will Randell - who I’ve never heard of.

They’ve got some right shite in their squad. Adam Chicksen, Jim O’Brien, Matty Palmer - all regulars for them who have struggled at this level before.

Harsh on Palmer, pretty much exclusively played League One and Championship before dropping to us bar his early days at Burton. No worries about him at all.

O’Brien hasn’t even signed yet either, assume he’s weighing up whether to retire on a high but he won’t be a regular starter either way. Wasn’t last season, albeit contributed positively when we needed him.

And Poundland Pep in charge.

What’s the view on LW at Swindon? I wasn’t exactly enthused by his appointment with his record at your place but a lot of time has passed since then and he’s done an astonishing job all told. Hopefully be here for a while but wouldn’t be surprised to see him go on and manage at a much higher level than this in the future.

Adam Chicksen is the worst player I've seen play for City in the last 10 years and he has some serious competition.

Wagmi have said will will have to offload players before we sign anyone.

I'm hoping we don't start like last season (shudder) and the middle of the season is better (sweat) and we dont let our better players go to relegation rivals but I have no plans other than praying we can keep clear of trouble.

This could change if we sign a proper centre forward and some energy in midfield.

If County also sign Barry Bannon SoC will be left with no choice but to make another new top tier Going For It™️ list.
Aye that's as likely as me getting a threesome with Michelle Keegan and Keeley Hazell

Dealt a bum hand by Power (spits) tbh. He was tippy tappy in the extreme. Known as Luke Warm. Came out with one memorable bullshit comment when he was getting flak for a number of consecutive draws ‘3 draws is the same as a win’. That sealed his fate I reckon.

He's now a fitness fanatic, exercise and ice baths every day, always posting little motivational videos. As a straight left back he's plenty good enough for this division. He had an epiphany about eighteen months ago and went from a total dud to a really hard-working wing back who scored a personal record of eleven goals last season.

He spoke about his time at Swindon when he first came to us. It sounded an unhappy time for him, the owner was inconsistent and he said he wasn't in a position to be organised and reading between the lines he politely said he was shafted by Power and Sherwood.
He wanted to join us as he thought the owners had everything in place to give him the best chance of being successful.
He definitely places huge importance on organisation there's nothing casual or off the cuff about him at all.

Sounds like he found peace at the dream factory that is Notts County then.

JOB is more part of the coaching team than anything else. He has mainly played a cameo role

Matty Palmer has been nothing but fantastic since he signed

Chicks had some sort of epiphany about his career after Notts almost dropped him. He's been consistently a 7/10 LWB since

Perhaps, he signed a contract extension in January.
We are a happier club than the shambles that went down four years ago. From owners to manager to players to fans there's unity that's not been there since Warnock galvanised the club thirty years ago.

How's that Quarry lane end progressing is it still a vacant lot talking of dream factories?

Adam Chicksen... that takes me back. He was Dean Lewington's first proper 'when he retires, you'll take his place' about 11 seasons ago now. Now they'll be playing against one another again.

We're definitely going for it. The one signing we've beaten League One teams supposedly offering more money to sign, and that's pretty much the slogan coming from PW. Hopefully we see more evidence soon with some more signings instead of just words though.

You do realise yourselves and Wrexham aren't playing Dover and Maidstone at home every week now, don't you?

Incredibly, we both got promoted without taking a single point off Dover home or away

What's more impressive is that Notts and Wrexham have been playing Dover and Maidenhead at home every week for a combined total of about 20 years and you've only amassed one promotion each.

Well hopefully we will only ever have the one National League promotion. Most clubs don't want to go down there more than once! Or at all if possible. It's only the Hartlepools, Barnets and Grimsbys of the world who can't get enough of it.

Top tip is to not say stuff like that, it can really unexpectedly come back to haunt you down the line.

Think we deserve relegation from Kitchen Sink level for failing to land Alfie May
