I saw he was odds on favourite earlier tonight.

He had a good short term impact on us last season, but it all came crashing back down to earth when he went toe to toe with our idiot owner who tried to force him to do things the ways he wanted (Like picking the team and forcing Nolan to play himself). Nolan apparently threatened to go to the press about this and Becchetti removed him as manager without hesitation. Our players started off well under him but they gradually slipped back into lazy fuckers after the owners started probing around the team - Something which has been evident under all the managers we've had here since Becchetti took over.

Becchetti also apparently forced him to play as well, even though Nolan didn't feel up to it - It showed on the pitch, his performances were very laboured. Although he was unlucky not to score for us on a few occassions with his trade mark late runs into the box.

His style was very much Sam Allardyce-esc. Direct balls and set up to be difficult to beat away from home - Which did work for us for a while, we secured two very impressive 1-0 aways wins at Portsmouth and Oxford like this and a scrappy 1-0 win at your place.

If he was to come back here as a manager he'd probably get a mixed reception, whilst it was far too early to give him a proper assessment as a manager because he was treated very unfairly (Like all our other managers the last 3 years) he rubbed quite a few fans up the wrong way at our POTY awards, when he got pissed and openly slagged off the clubs players he worked with infront of all the supporters - One of the players was a certain Scott Kashket who is now banging them in for Wycombe.......Nolan said he was a useless footballer and that he was too small and lightweight. As you can imagine, this really did not go down too well.

He'd love nothing more than to stick one over the Italians here, he told one of my mates when he met him in the summer that he HATED Becchetti and that the man would run us into the ground. He was right.

He's had a shocker with that one.

Kevin Nolan. Clearly a c***, but less of a c*** than Becchetti.

He will steer County to safety (at our expense).

More interestingly, how the bloody hell did you manage to lose £1.7 million last year? . What are you doing?

£1.7 million? Pocket change. We're £11 million in the hole after being debt-free when Coco took over.

Definitely lost money on going down, also squad was huge last season with a couple of expensive signings, and managerial changes. All probably added up to a big loss.

Orient fans, how good of a player was Nolan for you? Notts don't really have an attacking midfielder, and surprised he's only 34. If we don't get any more players in, think he'll be a decent option?

Fuck knows what Nolan did with that defence in 24 hours but as far as I'm concerned he's some sort of witch.

Thought the defence was poor tbh. We were gifted one gilt-edged chance and fluffed it. Also missed a couple of very good chances from headers when virtually unmarked. It was our lack of accuracy rather than good defending which kept us out.

You had one good chance in the entire game (and that from a striker finding himself in his own box and losing the plot). It was a serious improvement on the ten sitters every team who've played us have had since October.

Can't agree with this. We had more than one good chance. Have you watched the game back?

Yeah. There was a header from a free kick in the first half that was a good chance but given offside, other than that and Arquin's miss not really anything.

What about the two headers from corners in the first half? Were a bit '50p head' but still both good chances, one in particular. Also the one where your goalie made a good save to tip it out? That was heading in. The point is, please don't be under the delusion that your defence has suddenly become 'good' because you kept us to a clean sheet. That way danger lies. There is a lot of work to be done before you can say that. Maybe the next few games will be a better indication.

Our defence isn't going to be good until we sign some players, I know that. No defence with Duffy and Dickinson in it is ever going to be good. That was easily the fewest chances an opposition team have created against us all season, though, which is at least something to build on.
