I'm not exactly old (26) but the more and more I do these sort of things I do feel like the old man. Like you say, it'll just be covered in 18 year olds but rightly so. Will take note of the police tip, cheers for that.

I'm only a year older than you so I know exactly what you mean. We never saw or had any trouble and got on with most people we talked to - mainly girls haha but still I don't envisage you having any major problems if you want to stick to your group.

Nimes is a proper gem of a place, weather was absolutely sweltering though, hit 36 degrees yesterday.

Flights are dirt cheap from Liverpool, would definitely go back.

Back to Porto on Friday.

Will be there for the São João festival which is supposedly one of the best street festivals in Europe, then heading down to Lisbon on the Saturday, for the night. Taking in Coimbra, Fatima and Aveiro along the way.

Had a quality time, 5 nights is definitely enough for a Vegas trip. It was hot as fuck though, in the mid 40s every day, just glad they have air conditioning literally everywhere! Lost too much money in the casinos, didn't go as well as the last time I was there haha.

We also drove over to the grand canyon which you have to see to grasp how amazing it is.

The only mistake we made was going there during EDC festival and staying at the hotel where most of the festival goers were at

Early stages of planning a trip to Bolivia in autumn 2018.

Considering spending a few days in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, before heading out on a trip focussed on birds and wildlife, to recover from the 24 hour trip out. Any must see suggestions or suggested places to research, apart from Lonely Planet, etc.?

Any cultural or must do/see suggestions for a couple of mid-60s seasoned travellers to consider in the rest of the country. We only planned a brief visit to Lake Titicaca (to find a Grebe) but Copacabana and Isla del Sol have been suggested. We also have time around Cochabamba and Rurrenabaque.

As you might imagine, I'm making these enquiries in various fora but you never know whose looking in or what contacts Libertadores FC or other 1FFers have on the continent.

Isla del Sol is absolutely stunning and Copacabana itself is nice too. I liked Potosí and Sucre was a lovely place to spend a few days (good historical buildings and some brilliant, slightly hilly walks if you go a few miles outside the city. There are dinosaur footprints nearby too but we didn't go to see them because we went to a football match instead). We only went to La Paz to change buses so I dunno about that and we didn't make it to any of the other places mentioned. We went to Uyuni and the salt flats which are pretty amazing but I dunno if you'll make it that far?

Went to Lisbon, Coimbra and Porto a few weeks ago. All three were tremendous.

Next week I'll be in Barcelona. I've already been there four years ago with my family. This time I'm going with friends, so I guess the holiday will be less focused on art-culture-seaside and more focused on sangria-weed-clubs.

Off to Ibiza for a week on the 25th.

Anyone know if it's feasible to walk from San Antonio bay to Cala Comte/Sunset Ashram....or if there's a bus that goes out that way?

Doubt it pal, easily a couple of hours trek that.
There will be a bus no doubt, never been up that end but been elsewhere on the island. San An bus station run to everywhere, you might even get a stop near you in the bay as you'll be on the way, sure a bit of internet digging will help.

Taxi won't be too harsh either, especially if there's 4 per cab.

Cheers. Don't mind a bit of trekking (that's kind of our plan), as long as it's not gonna take 4hrs or something daft.

The beach at Cala comte looks like one of the nicer ones on the island for just chilling out, so we're planning on making a day of it. Setting off in the morning, few beer stops on the way etc.

But if it's gonna take a stupid amount of hours to do it on foot, we might just do what you suggest and grab a taxi.

Going to Poznan after Christmas, looks quality for pubs & bars.

Got bargain flights and accommodation and if it's anything like Gdansk, then we won't need much spending money either, rare if you pay more than £1.50 a pint.

Going to Tbilisi next week. We had originally planned to check out a couple of techno clubs there as their scene is causing a stir here, unfortunately they both close down for the summer.

There are a few other places to check out luckily and I'm also looking forward to exploring the city in general. We know some locals so that will make it even better.

Was a belter when I went in 2009 I think it was, rough as ote but for a lads holiday, Laganas was decent back then. Presume the rest of the island is much nicer.
