Deserved all round. You incessantly taunt a player hes human. hes gonna react. If he gave it to the bench or that stand behind the bench he was getting it from the in the first place so what, fuck 'em. The Beast was lucky not to be sent off, although I'm glad he wasn't as it would have added more fuel to the Hylton fire and I can understand his reaction to Hylton as a firey bloke myself.

Ive never seen Wycombe as local rivals but always enjoyed beating them and enjoyed that one too. I liked the day out, fairly close, the town, the pubs the small terrace behind the goal was always bouncing. Its good to beat them but I'd be so pissed off if I was one of them.

Wycombe is just a localish game in the same way that Cambridge, Oxford, Northampton and Stevenage are. They have a neat little ground but for me it lacks atmosphere, almost non league in fact. These type of games don't create the same passion as they do against our near neighbours down the motorway or even some of our previous local games higher up the league ladder. The likes of QPR for example were games that we desperately wanted to win and you could sense it in and outside the ground. These lower league games are pale in comparison.

Thought it was interesting that more than one Wycombe fan picked out Pelly as our best player by miles and he made the L2 team of the week. I think Luton fans tend to be massively over critical of the guy at times or rather expect him to do too much; maybe we still perceive him as the rampaging forward driving player he was when he first arrived, but actually he is often at his best in those tight away games doing the simple things, using his pace and power to pick up on loose balls and dictate possession from deeper.

I definitely think he'll end up as a DM first and foremost. He has real flair but he doesn't really have the speed of thought needed to be a creative influence further forward consistently.
