I just don’t think it’s been a lack of demand issue, more to do with the whole ticketing fiasco which is definitely a embarrassment for the club.

Bit funny how we announced a new ticketing provider last week and suddenly ours decided to stop working also, deffo some shade involved.
Our home one is a bit of a mess now as well as making it very difficult for fans to get away tickets if not local.

Home season ticket seats are reserved until Sunday but online it appears the whole stand is sold out so cant select your seat in the stand!

Got my tickets for Vale away. Never been before and looking forward to it. If we can take a 6 goal advantage to it that would put me at ease! :)

Suppose for us and Mansfield too with our ticketing systems its very rare they’ll be stress tested in the way they will have been in the last few weeks at least in our case. Both clubs owners seem the sort to at least take on fans concerns and no doubt will be improved. There’s loads of things have learned lately such as our reduced capacity. Had always assumed it’d be 19500 so to see it reduced to 15000 with no real explanation is an eye opener.

It has ignited a debate on a new stadium.

Enjoy the trip but probably don’t quite share the sentiment on the 6 goal advantage.

Depending how you’re getting there if heading for a beer beforehand The Bulls Head is usually away fan friendly but due to how busy Burslem will be that night may be a tight squeeze.

We’ve finally (just) managed to get ticket sales online, so hopefully that will get rid of any remaining tickets, shame it happened a day before mind.

I remember when we went 3-0 up v Sheffield United, putting us 5-1 ahead on aggregate with 60 minutes to go I said to my mate that I still don’t trust this team not to give us a heart attack. Snuck through 6-5

Even if we were 5-0 up after the first leg I would still anticipate us conceeding 3 in the first 25 minutes just so that we don't make it too easy.

We were 2-0 up against Man City at Wembley having scored in the 81st and 86th minute with the dream of playing second tier football for the first time in our history, what happened in the remaining few minutes remains a blur to me…

Even when 3-0 up at Walsall on Saturday I was still only calm when the clock turned to about 82 minutes!!

Thanks mate. I'm going to be driving and plan to get there fairly early to get parked and soak up the pre-game atmosphere somewhere. Any parking tips greatly appreciated. Noted about the Bulls Head, cheers for that.

Not pretending I don’t care if we don’t win the POs, but even if not the club is truly resurgent now. It’s only a matter of time.

The spirit of Selhurst Park will prevail!

I just don't really know what to expect, good article on BBC about us and how long its been! I was 8 when we last made them and hadn't even got into football at that stage!

It is Swindon though, been burnt a few times there... its the fixture I least look forward to purely because we've had some awful results against them, played them loads and generally its a crap afternoon for us.

We had a three visit spell there where we lost 6-0, 5-0 and 5-2 (although the first two were dead rubbers for us and we know we love a good 5-0 wellying in an end of season game!). We've had some hideous performances, blowing a 2-0 lead to lose at home, signing an emergency keeper a couple of years back who dropped everything in the net in a 3-0 loss, Mad Covolan karate kicking and costing us the game this season right on half time.

We have had a few decent results after an 8 or 9 game losing sequence against them in recent seasons though, a mental 3-2 in the relegation season and a good 2-0 win in the Covid season and obviously to finally break the hoodoo this season at their place was an excellent result but being burnt how we have I am not overly confident.

Maybe makes it easier as less expectation!

I think that's it isn't it? Both clubs have come out of poor ownership and clearly now are on the upward curve even if it doesn't happen this season.

If early enough I park up on the estate up the hill past the ground, so as you drive past Vale Park take the first turn to your left into the estate there is street parking there.

Alternatively the car park just before the ground is about a fiver.

I really can’t be arsed with these playoffs. Was thinking my excitement would build through the week but nope.

I know this feeling bruh. Even worse is watching your team collectively give up in a final.

Cheers squire! I reckon I could get there for 6 ish, if I can get away from work early enough, do you think the estate is worth the gamble or just the £5 car park?

I have always gone on the estate without issue to be fair but if want somewhere more secure the car park will lead straight onto the new away end, not that there should be any mither by the estate.

You've forgotten a 3-0 lead (1 of which scored by William Paynter later of this parish) at VP in which we came back to 3-3 with goals from Mooney, Parkin and Fallon IIRC

I was toying with the idea of going up tomorrow morning if some left but yeah they’ll be gone this evening. Fans for both clubs certainly playing their part at least.

Not sure how much can read into it but DC seemed in quite a relaxed mood today in his presser. If that reflects on to the team then I’m hopeful for us.
