Just having a look at predictions, not one out of 5 or 6 I’ve looked at gives us any chance, or any mention really of getting to Wembley.

Put sky sports on, one of the first things I hear, ‘Mansfield will really fancy their chances of getting this one won tonight, they’re in much better form than Northampton’.

Bizarre.

Looking forward to tonight watching muppets in silly costumes acting clownlike to the cameras to then be given strange decisions by those in charge.

Then I might switch over to eurovision.

I think I'd favour Mansfield in the other semi tonight, mainly as because I live in Northants we would be surrounded by cobblers fans on the trains to Euston assuming we can get past Vale.

It could go one of two ways with Northampton. They'll either be shattered after the final day or continue their really good form. I suspect this is why the pundits are unsure but I wouldn't be surprised to see them at Wembley....Mansfield defending against FGR last week was amateur.

I think there's also the fact that they have been promoted and relegated twice in recent years, hence the apathy from fans who would want to see them push on. They're a decent team with reasonable support but you always feel like the ceiling of ambition is league one. Feels like someone else deserves a turn.

Go up, lose the gaffer, lose our best players, come back down.

It's a shame because there is potential there. I guess it needs more of a long term vision with at least the aspiration to push on towards the championship.

That’s what the new stand is for haha

See FGR and Exeter

The worst one was after going up under Wilder, Rob Page thought James Collins and John Marquis wasn’t a good enough strike force for League 1

Werent you lot saying you have been rubbish all season and couldnt believe you were still up there, and would come straight back down anyway?
Apart from your manager and Hoskins, id like to see the rest of you's celebrating at Wembley as the next highest placed team.

We were mustard up until Covid hit in December, then stumbled. Last 10 games we’re top of the form table with you, scoring more goals, look a lot more fluid.

I think Roberts the keeper is already gone, Horsfall and McWilliams likely to follow if we’re still in League 2.

Thats the danger, fail and the better players get snapped up.
Saying that FGR went up as champs and already have the manager and Adams gone, and Kane Wilson on his way. The life of a lower league football fan eh!

We’ve won 13 of our last 15 home games, not surprised pundits fancy us based on that.

Our away form is another story if we don’t win by atleast 2 today, you’ll be at Wembley.

We kept two clean sheets with Perch and JJ at CB recently but he likes to play Hawkins instead of Perch when we play teams who have a decent areal threat. Unfortunately makes us dodgy at the back because Hawkins can’t defend or play out from the back, he can just head it.

I think that's a fair statement and in the past I've christened him the Welsh yoga mat, for all the times he's on the floor.

To be fair recently he seems to have cut that out of his game and he's playing much better. I think that Vale might attempt the 'dark arts' to stop us playing in midfield and hopefully we don't see too many histrionics/gamesmanship etc.

I remember seeing Williams playing well at a higher level. He has quality and just doesnt need to dive around as much as he does/did. Collins is the same for us and I criticise him for it too.
Im glad to hear Williams seems to be sorting it out as theres no place for that at any level of football.

Wish he’d stop messing around with the defence, play what we had before salford and leave it at that.

3 clean sheets then change it and concede twice in the next 2 games, such an odd decision.

We’ve the best manager in the playoffs, he just needs to stop worrying about the other teams and let us play our natural game.

Get an early goal and the crowd behind us tonight and hopefully can go from there.

Yeah from a football perspective you hope the highest placed team gets through
On top of that, I just think it would have been fitting for them on final day.

I’d love Vale to go up as well.

Swindon I’d love if they would stay down, but there are obviously benefits if they come up.

Mansfield would be the more disappointing to win tbh. It’s the furthest away and there aren’t any real ties/connections

Ross Joyce is the referee for our game. Name doesn’t stick out to me so hasn’t done anything to fuck us over yet. Apparently we have goal line technology in use for these games as well which didn’t realise.

oh ffs - it's that clown again... doesn't like giving penalties for blatant handballs in the box. always sends someone off in Barrow matches too;- 3 matches (B Rovers (H), Barnsley (A) and Northampton (H)) and 3 red cards this season. will let a lot of bad tackles do unpunished early then lose control and end up card happy resulting in a red card...

Being more interested in the League Two playoffs than the FA Cup Final.
