We’ve been given zero pubs by the police. If STFC fans want a drink it’s got to be in Newcastle under Lyme. Nothing like promoting drink driving.

Didn’t Vale have the same issue Sunday though? I know there was a lot of moaning about it.

Some did but I for one got served fine in one of the Wetherspoons in town (The Savoy I think it was called) and there were other Vale fans in there so I’m guessing those that struggled didn’t go into the town centre.

Could they just send the Swindon fans to Tunstall or something?

Don't wear colours and don't go round acting up you'll be fine in Burslem. Best bet is the Bulls Head. You won't get any mither.

That the figure reported by the Sentinel? If so that was as of the afternoon. Someone who went down the ticket office at 5 has said 10k+ sold in the Vale end now with 1,300 tickets left.

Noticed Swindon have 98 more tickets. Assuming that's an extra row of seats in the bycars. They might be netting sections off and been able to free up a few. It holds 3,100.

Watching Forest Blades and my excitement for tomorrow is stirring.

Hope it’s a good game and we give it a right good go. After losing 3rd place like we did and then being 2-0 down after 30 minutes we could have melted. Hoping for a good atmosphere at least.

From what I gather they’re netting the front blocks nearest to the Railway and Lorne Street for segregation especially to the Lorne Street / disabled stand side. Wouldn’t surprise me if they block off the front few rows also so they can control any attempted pitch invasion if they go through. That would no doubt cause trouble to start if it happens.

My thoughts exactly. That wouldn't go down well

It’s difficult for a Mansfield fan to go in a pub they ain’t suppose too, ‘Alright Babi duck’ usually gives it away.

away games this year
2-1
0-0
0-0
1-1
2-0
2-3
1-3
1-0
2-1
2-2
0-1
4-0
0-1
2-2

So we’ve played 14 away since the turn of the year
winning 5 losing 4 and drawing 5, out of those we’ve lost we’ve lost 1 by more than one goal.

the 3-1 defeat at port vale is the game in 2022 we’ve lost by more than 1 goal.

Gives me a little more confidence.

Would be shocked if tonight doesn’t go into extra time with a 2-1 or 3-2 defeat in 90 mins.

I’m predicting 2-1 to Northampton after 90 and then one way or the other for it to be settled before penalties. Think this has the makings of a very open game.

I just want to get on with it now, I am really excited for it. Atmosphere should be superb with the Hamil End ours.

Worryingly feeling slightly positive which is never a good sign!

It has dragged out a bit, I expected them to play them Wednesday/Thursday then the Saturday/Sunday and have 2 weeks before Wembley for the winners rather than 8 days after the final game.
