What are the predictions that you’re expecting for your clubs?

Not used to buying tickets on line, I’d rather queue up at ticket office.

Finally managed to get the tickets for our group but it was the most stressful thing I have done in ages.

Picking the seats was a bit awkward as the hovering hand didn’t seem to work properly or quick enough, then when you got to checkout it chucked you out and then had to start again picking different seats.

I thought initially we would do well to sell 15k but after today I would not be surprised if all 30k went, especially if Forest fans buy them as well if some are down for the weekend.

What a night we had at Vale Park last night! Cracking atmosphere and I cant fault any of the players, thought we came out with real intent and put in a great performance. I cant help but think that Swindon underestimated us, thought they seemed shell shocked in the first half and didn't show anywhere near the amount of quality we know they are capable of.

The Swindon fans I've seen on here seem a decent bunch. Also spoke to a couple at their place on Sunday who seemed fine, but some of the opinions I've seen online etc are just bizarre. Having a pop at our attendance and belittling our players etc, just silly but I guess that's keyboard warriors for you. I feel for the genuine, decent supporters as its no way to see your team lose a play off game and I'm sure they will come back stronger next season.

The scenes at the end of the game are unacceptable. Disappointing when a minority behave like that. It's always going to grab the headlines and tarnish what was otherwise a great evening. Sadly I think its a football in general problem, rather than a Vale specfic problem, but either way not right and not what anyone wants to see.

Can't wait for our trip to Wembley. I dont think beating Mansfield is an easy task at all, fair to say we are probably well matched. Just hoping for a great day out and that we leave everything on the pitch.

UTV!

Hard to say as it’s been so long we’ve not really got much to judge it on, our first trip to Wembley in 93 we took 28000 (oddly our second was a week later and we took less than half that but that was impacted by the majority wanting to be there for the first and cost of going both).

Id hope for around 25000 being the first ever trip but probably be nearer 20,000. Was some talk a fair few Rovers fans were coming in support of DC?

If between us we get 50k it would be a great effort for L2.

The Twitter fans are embarrassing. Yoofs that have an open platform to bait and spout nonsense. Also likely to be the ones abusing their own clubs players if it goes wrong.

Felt a bit down today but already looked up how long until the new season. 71 days!

Aye, some might do the double-header. Also my Forest fan brother is going to our game with me because he had no chance of getting a ticket for the Forest one. So there's that situation too which might lead to a few more of them going to our match rather than no match at all.

Really looking forward to it now. Drive down early, a few ales before and after the game, sleep on Son of Cod's sofa, drive back Sunday morning. Ideal.

Honestly your evening plans are set up for all night celebrations or crying yourself to sleep. There’s really no in between there

Am I right in thinking they have fan zones for each side at the game for before?

Not sure if there’s a fan zone as such (not that I remember anyway and it may have changed since then), but there is a large concourse all the way round with food/drink places if that’s what mean? (Pricey though!)

Ticketmaster seem to be slow releasing blocks we’ve virtually sold out the blocks allocated in the first batch with just a few single seats together so no one can currently purchase if they want a couple together!

40 official coaches virtually sold and the 10 Crown Pub coaches all sold out so a positive start to sales.

Yeah I know regarding the concourse from England games but sure I read there are fan zones (Man City were being mocked for theirs being virtually empty) in the box park maybe?

This is true. Tried to have beers in Swindon after we lost against Millwall. Most depressing night out of my life. And not just because it was in Swindon.

Probably not the latter even if we lose tbh mate. Will still have a decent evening spending valuable time with my bro and SoC. Driving home the next morning would be CRAP though! Nobody is gonna enjoy that after losing at Wembley and likely with some good old hangxiety thrown in there too. :mell:

9.12 from Stoke. Euston at 10.40. Meet my mate in Waterloo for a shandy or two and then an easy journey up to Wembley. I honestly don't care if we lose!

I was just excited all day… now my minds on the job we have to do and getting nervous already! Fly on holiday on the Sunday! Wife won’t want to sit next to me if we lose being a miserable git!

He's the best isn't he? Walsall fans are weird.
They love him! Why else would they hate the club that took him!

Plus they’ve not been as high in the league since he left!

the bonus of it was when i booked it after northampton it was £76 now i’m getting a slightly later train (as thought game kicked off at 3) it’s £51, bonus.

The extra £25 should just about pay for a pint in london.

I’m sure next saturday will remind me just why i hate london so much

I think we’ve also got the the Green Man pub in addition on the West Side (bit of an uphill walk from memory) Never done a football game at Wembley only a gig and some NFL games there as always wanted to leave it until a time Vale got there.

For me I might just go into the centre of London then catch a tube up. It’s only about 35 minutes on the train to Euston from where I live anyway.

Il probably park at Stanmore and get the tube down. £10 to guarantee entry to the fan zone. Ridiculous that. Still can’t get over you get charged £1.25 delivery fee for tickets you have to print at home!

It’s pretty obscene really and that isn’t just being a tight northern bastard either (well not totally).

Yeah even that on the tickets wasn’t totally clear. Don’t know if it was the same for Mansfield fans but when it confirmed payment on the screen it indicated was posting to my address but then the confirmation email says it was emailing PDF’s.
