He's the best isn't he? Walsall fans are weird.
Tbf to them, I think they have/had bigger problems than DC.

Probably a bit like Garner with us, whilst there was a lot of problems himself - no doubt the club had something to do with it

Last couple of times I've been to Wembley, I've parked just north of Preston Road tube station on the edge of the event day parking zone and walked down - only about half an hour. When you come out you can sneak out of the slow moving crowd heading towards Wembley Park and just wander off easily.

on the upside mansfield have only ever been involved in 1 penalty shoot out at wembley and we won it!

Take what you can get.

After the other night I couldn’t take penalties again! Especially with how we had to win being 2 penalties missed before they missed one! Vale put the video on with Vale commentary and I still worried we’d lose on the replay!

We all know if Vale are going to do it they’re going to put us through the ringer. It’s just the Vale way. Gut feeling right now is I think this is another tie that will go the distance.

Have we got the Torch or whatever its called again then? Prob jump on the tube and go a few stops out for some pre match sips and come back to Wembley for about half 2/3ish.

Or just get a crate of Red Stripe and have em on Wembley way

Not sure if Vale fans have same issue but basically loads of stags fans scrambling around trying to get a seat on a coach, lack of drivers or something

i went for boxing once and we got smashed on the tube and then wembley way drinking from a few 2l coke bottles with way too much vodka mixed in. we got some funny looks on the tube thats for sure, though when they heard us speak i think most were just like "dont make eye contact with them, they'll be gone in the morning"

i really do hate london but i quite like just going there, gettingpissed whilst judging everything based on stoke prices and then leaving either same day or next

When we did Wembley in 07 a load of private coaches were hired by people on forums/supporters clubs/ etc. worth looking into

Especially as trains cost an absolute fortune these days

Last time we went in 2013 the majority went via train I think (easy being 55 minutes away). Remember London Midland trying to squeeze in any extra services they could to get everyone down.

We booked the train tickets from notts the same night as northampton - i wanted to get back home to be around the lads for the game etc, but was also weary if port vale got through (which they did) my train from manchester would be full of vale fans which well could go either way (the only time i’ve ever seen any bother with vale is when they were trying to get rid of that smerthwaite (or whatever he was called) and that wasn’t aimed at us anyway.

The reason for the lack of drivers is loads of bus drivers etc have fucked off to tesco etc who were giving them £1k golden hellos etc.

Booked hotel straight after FGR game just in case, so we will be driving down early, think we about 20 mins on tube away from Wembley. Didn’t fancy sitting on a coach majority of day.

so between hours 24 and 26 hours 67 people took their tickets back??
I was rounding up!

Happy with that. Especially as a lot are struggling to sort coach travel so if Vale get more on next weekend we should push on with sales. We’ve sold as many in a day as we took to Cardiff for the LDV final.

Hopefully break the 20k mark.

I take it next weekend we’ll be in white? Wouldn’t be able wear the gold kit as would clash with Mansfield’s and same for the all black with the ref.

depends if we agree on colours or who wins the toss. the fixture is mansfield vs port vale, are we somehow the “home team”? (not that it matters)

No reason not to play in white, we both wore our home kits against each other in the league meetings so no clash.

Sky showed the tie as Mansfield v Port Vale when advertising next weekends games so assume you’re the designated “home” team.

I always thought the home team was the side who finished higher which obviously couldn’t have been us

Maybe it’s because we were the winner of the tie which involved northampton who finished highest of the playoff teams.

actually, who gives a fuck! haha

Not bad that for first day sales. Unfortunately, it clashes with the first day of half term, so a few people I have spoken to are away.

Vale and Mansfield 2 of the best 3 visiting teams at Valley Parade on the day this season, the other being Hartlepool. So, a tough call to make as a neutral. I think Vale will just edge it in extra time.

Good luck to both teams
