Couple of tough games up next for Exeter. Back to back defeats and you'll be able to join the midtable party, my friend!
Always said 1 of the 8 would drop out, you could well be right. (But you're not)

We've just had MK Dons, Carlisle and Bury in our last 3 matches and only had 1 defeat so it's not all bad. The light can now be seen at the end of the tunnel with much easier fixtures up ahead after Lincoln. Then it's a relatively easy run for a while.

Not quite true though, is it? Are you still upset that your seasons over and you'll finish mid table? Still confused by your presence on here
Yeah. 5 points behind you with 14 games to go. Still, overtaking your lot won’t be good enough. We need to overtake someone who is actually in a PO position.

Us, someone in a PO position, and 5 or so other clubs.

You're not even in the top half mate, get back to the mid table / relegation thread which is more apt for you

He has no plan b and doesn’t know how to rectify it.

Hopefully he’s got enough to get us over the line but time will tell. If he doesn’t get us up this season he’ll be done in my view

Great football attractive football is nice but as Lincoln prove, it’s points on the board.

After last season - and yes - half of that fell on the players at the time he’s got to do it this season.

We’re back.

Another test against Notts who have had some big results lately.. easy game versus Exeter after that though.

We’ve limped along all season and only really been in contention due to everyone else also being poor however we’re finally out of the running. Shocking display tonight, showing how dependent we are on Lang.

Feet up for the rest of the season and looking forward to another year in this league...

Bloody hell Oldham fans, you are only six points off the playoffs and have a decent GD. It is not over yet.

Mate we’re in the autos and I don’t believe we’ll go up, on that basis they’ve no chance!

Despite what Devon Lad says, there are still 13 or 14 teams in the league who are definitely with a good shout of promotion this season. Which team holds their nerve and puts a run together will have a very good chance. Oldham losing at home to Morecambe is a shocker but I still think they have a squeak of a chance.

Our next 4 games are Grimsby, Colchester, Carlisle and Stevenage and if we can somehow manage a good haul against them, we will bolster our chances and at the same time hinder the chances of the rivals.

It ain't over until the fat lady sings folks!

Oldham are still in it for now, but with a new manager and new ideas, inconsistency will probably do for them, next season is probably when we will see the best of the Latics. Big game for us at home to Exeter at the weekend. The Tranmere game invasion few weeks also looks a tasty one now.

You oiks don't deserve to even be on the same pitch as Exeter. I would just forfeit the match now and save your energy for games that you have a more realistic chance in!

Looking at the next 3/4 fixtures I could see MK getting 8 points from the 12 min so we need to be getting the same at least. Forest Green first up, Hoping for a massive reaction after the last 2 no shows.

If we beat those then I can see us getting at least 3 wins from the next 4.

Looking more and more likely that MK Dons away on the last day of the season could be absolutely massive.

We have to beat FG, if we do that then hopefully we can push on with what looks an “easier” set of fixtures on paper, but obviously that doesn’t seem to apply of late.

For me, DF has to take more ownership, he’s being too rigid on a formation we’ve not the players to play in just now, maybe a 433 approach would serve us better - that seems to be the consensus from us lot on Saturday.

Him and the players both owe the fans a performance Saturday.

For the love of God do not let that happen.
Everywhere he goes its when he starts changing things that they implode, if you want a chance he needs to be restrained or all hell will ensue. Futcher will then start to fall out with everybody and your fooked.

I agree he probably should have changed things at the weekend or if he was sticking with it maybe played Benning in the back 3 instead of an unfit Turner.

The 352/532 has served us well so far this season and I’d expect us to play it this week, another week training for Turner so we’ll hopefully have 3 fit centre backs

I was just thinking similar, just one game ago there were lots of very confident Oldham fans on here fancying a late promotion push, then lose one game and suddenly their seasons over already!

Our pessimism is based less on the teams around us but more on the quality of ourselves. As I mentioned, we’ve limped into this position really and to be in with a shout still really isn’t anything to do with us being good.

The only thing that gives me hope for Saturday is that we don’t lose to Bury but I do fear a trouncing, especially if Lang is still out.

Losing Surridge and Lyden back to parent clubs in Jan and not replacing them is showing unfortunately.
