Yep.

Or we get a manager in with league experience and potentially do better than Askey would have?

No idea really is there.

Yep, I'm sure you'll find a much better manager then Askey.....

Take it from me, this is a big step up from NL and you needed a lot of work to get up to scratch. We pissed all over you in the FA Cup BEFORE our January rebuild. .

Without Askey performing miracles how the fuck are you going to cope. This isn't the tinport leagues anymore, you're in with the big boys now. Can't get away with scraping a squad together last minute on a shoesting like a tinpotter, especially not with the transfer window now including loans.

I always find it a bit arrogant when non-league minnows get promoted and the fans of the more established league clubs mock them.

Not sure you get to make that speech after one season in the EFL. In fact, remembering your chairman's comments after beating us at Wembley, and how '"easy it would be to get out of League Two", nobody at FGR gets any sympathy for underestimating the division.

Macclesfield have been here before and don't need FGR to tell them about the EFL.

That being said, they're f*cked.

I'd forgotten your rich history in the football league. Remind me where you were playing between 1997 and 2012?!

Fuck, the fact I can brag about a shitty 15 year stint in the league previously really shows you up for what FGR really are.

You couldn't even win the fucking conference!!

The manager market seems to be livening up with Exeter and Macclesfield now without managers, while (thankfully) we remain managerless.

Askey was the only good thing about our managerial/behind the scenes set up. Without him we're in a proper mess. It will be interesting to see how many of our out of contract players also choose to leave now that Askey has gone.

Steve Davis is now 2nd favourite for the Silkmen job *shudders*. If we were going to go for a former Nantwich manager with some success at Evo Stik level I'd much rather it be Phil Parkinson.

Mark Yates at Solihull would be my first choice at the moment. He has FL experience and knows how to keep teams up against the odds.

I would absolutely hate to see you get Davis. That'd be accepting relegation before a ball is kicked. Parky is a risk but one I'd rather take over that washed up fraud.

In the Conference, your natural level. One level below where you were for those glorious 15 years. So stop pretending to be billy big bollocks.

I mean you averaged 1800 in a title winning season ffs. 1000 less then us who struggled all year. And I thought you were meant to be the much bigger club?

I agree. Luckily I doubt the betting odds are based on any sort of inside info, although I gather he has applied.

To me Jansen is the one I'd be putting my money on given his Macclesfield links.
What are his Macclesfield links?
