Maidstone were perenially shit in the Conference, barring a couple of patches of good form. Let's just say Saunders wouldn't be my preferred choice of manager.

Jay Saunders is a big advocate of 3G. Can see the Moss Rose pitch being converted once the FL decides to allow it or Macc are back in the Conference.

Carlisle have somehow managed to appoint an ex-Notts manager we like even less than Keith Curle in John Sheridan.

Mellon held talks with St Mirren. They’d have to pay his contract out.. but really not sure who we’d get instead. Dave Challinor at Fylde probably the only candidate..

Doesn't Micky have a 'rolling contract' so if his current term's come to an end, maybe not much to pay?

Challinor has done well with Fylde, but on what you'd assume was a decent budget, so would he come and would he be the right fit in our current situation? Don't fancy a journeyman manager like Adams mark 2 at all.

Mellon has a year to run.. so does Challinor. Can't see anyone else that can continue what Mellon has done if he does go.. but to me it makes sense, in terms of the tips I had on signings all suddenly falling through.

Hope it's Tisdale so you can witness the bizarre interviews and behaviour.

At least mk fans won't tell him where to poke it when he comes out with meaningless statements. He doesn't like having to deal with actual fans so he will probably enjoy his time at MK.

I'd like to see Fergie Jr at MK, just because it would be a match made in hell.

Honestly I'd be happy with either. I'm fully expecting it to be Tisdale and he's been in MK over the last few days, and while he's probably a better fit for the club as a whole with his good youth development record, Fergie would arguably take the first team further and he's proved he can do it at League 1 level too.

I don't know what's more tinpot, the fact that they decided to livestream the unveiling of Tis or the fact that they fucked it up.

His last one worked out well!
Yeah, he's been our best ever manager and racked up 12 years with the club. Longest serving manager in the pyramid. I'd say it worked out pretty well.

But we aren't MK and we don't demand results in the same way wankleman will.

I think it depends entirely on how the season goes. The only way he won't last a long time is if he fails to stop the rot and loses the dressing room.
We are known for the short manager turn arounds, but people forget we gave an untried, young manager 6 years. So long as we're in and around the play off mix at least and the background atmosphere is a happy one, we won't pull the trigger.

Exeter's loss is MK's gain. Good appointment I reckon, and I can put to bed any doubts I had on MK not making the top 3 next season.

Was thinking more about how the switch to rolling contract seemed to be the beginning of the end after all the great years.
