That is truly embarrassing, you are having to go to a club further down the pyramid because your pitch isn't good enough.
No point having nice big stands if the ground doesnt have a decent enough pitch to play on.

I see if you win then you have another home tie on Tuesday. Will that be at Droylesden as well?

That's what you get playing second fiddle to some second rate egg chasing Cuddly League team.

Torquay are a nonleague club and always have been but for reelection and a bit of good fortune to be fair

Strange comment as we've only been out of the league for 5 years...

... and the fact we have the highest ground in the country above sea level.

Are you sure, according to Ordnance Survey your ground is 248 feet above sea level, where as WBA have the highest league ground at 552, and Buxton is over 1000 feet.

Is the population of North Ferriby even a thousand though?

I know absolutely nothing about them or the village. If they can't muster a 1,000 then what's the point etc.

Even clubs in the Ryman and below can pull in a thousand for big games!

I'm not sure whether Wingate & Finchley or Hendon could. Mind you W & F have not had many big matches at home in recent years. The only two I can think was their FA Cup 3rd qualifying tie against Havant which drew in just under 300 and their Ryman League Division 1 North playoff- final against Brentwood which attracted a crowd of just under 450.

Halifax are now OFFICIALLY TINPOT. Droylsden? HAHAHAHAHAHA

One has a tinpot ground, the other are too tinpot to get games on. Obvious solution. Merge, sell both grounds and build a new ground, allowing only the competent Droylsden officials to handle the matchday organisation and upkeep of the Stadium.

AFC FC Town of Halifax and Droylsden United Football Club.

Our ground is one of the highest in the country, statistics have shown that we get the most rainfall of anyone and we've never had to switch a home game.

Please remember, Tin Potters are not permitted to address me directly. You may however ask one of the real club fans to pass on your reply, if you so wish. :woo:

That's if any of them will lower themselves to talking to a closet tinpot rascal like yourself.

Btw it's 533 ft. Type in GL6 0FG. That's over 100 ft higher then your ground, but I doubt we'll be switching many games to Droylsden.

I know Yorkshire, nasty place full of flat caps and whippets. Gods own county? He's welcome to the shithole.

Yep, sold near on 1000 already + payers on the day.

Should be a bloody good atmosphere at Plainmoor as it seems to caught a bit of local interest - we've got about 6 going compared to the usual 2/3. Hoping for a win in front of around 4000.

You obviously don't know Yorkshire at all and have merely bought into offensive Southern attitudes to the county and to the North in general. Your silly comment has served only to betray your own ignorance.

There's a vicious rumour going round that today's match at Gateshead is actually ON. Unconfirmed.

No offence to the Gulls, but I want FCUM to win the tie today. I've booked 3 days B & B in Torquay for our match on 28th without even factoring in the F.A. Trophy. Should have some fun down there in the middle of winter and no game.

If current results stand I think our game at home to Gateshead will be postponed to make way for a game at home to Gateshead.

Which will be postponed.
