All the three tin pot cup games will be played before 1st Oct, so all will be behind closed doors

Don’t believe they are, the first is the first Tuesday but the League Cup is taking up every other Tuesday before October, sure they follow that.

Better than nothing at this point. I highly doubt we will get promoted this year so I think you might have to have that fun in L1 without us.
Oh Hull coming down is definitely the most likely way of getting a Radio Humberside mini league on the go.

Yes, you are correct, it’s the league cup first four rounds that are BCD.

I don't know how any of you can claim to be boycotting this competition. I don't see a single one of your clubs doing everything they can to right royally piss off the EFL so you get chucked out of the league, thus resulting in full avoidance of this joke shop.

With the escapades of Liverpools kids last season and the unprecedented levels of Kloppermania in Birkenhead. With or without Tranmere fans this fixture has the potential to be Prenton park’s biggest gate of the season.

Never knew that was their nickname as well!

The Mudrats are definitely the grubbier element of El Chavico, but playing them is admittedly preferable to taking part in El Crapico with Dagenham.

Watched our game on ifollow. Not impressed at all, some shambolic bits of defending and goalkeeping.

We have a lot of players out injured and fleetwood are decent so I’ll give us the benefit of the doubt.

Do suspensions picked up in this tournament still carry over to the league? Cos Gime Toure has been sent off against Fleetwood.

On a related note, despite having never been in the same division as them, I'm sick to death of playing Fleetwood. They seem to show up to remind us how far we've fallen every season.

Well Callum Guy missed our game tonight because he picked up 2 bookings in last seasons Trophy, so presumably Toure’s will be for this competition unless they’ve changed the rules from last season.

Only count for this cup; oddly Tom Pope has a six game ban which counts for Carabao and League but can face Tranmere in this next week!

What the hell did he do for a 6 game ban?

He posted Anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. I believe it was found that he didn't mean them in an anti-semitic way though.

The 6 game ban was probably due to an accumulation of issues as he already got a 1 game ban for saying something stupid on twitter.

He may be the stupidest football alive and that's a difficult task.

Pope isn't the brightest is he? Everyone should know by now to stay well clear of this sort of stuff.

It's annoying that this ban only counts for league and league cup games, as that probably means Elliott Whitehouse will miss 6 proper games for us as well.

I remember when Kyle Storer was banned for 8 games for biting and his ban included all games, but the JPT games didn't count towards the ban.

Meaning he wasn't allowed to play in them, but they also didn't count as a game taken off the suspension.

Third ban relating to social media I believe!

Doncaster Rovers away toneete - didn’t even realise we were playing tonight until this morning.

I understand Donny didn’t have a game at the weekend, so I imagine they’ll put out a strong side. All those who didn’t feature in the weekends won away at Bolton can be expected to be involved tonight.

Levi Sutton set to make his debut - even though he’s suspended for League and Cup games.

GK: Sam Hornby

RB: Tyler French
CB: Paudie O’Connor
CB: Ben Richards-Everton
LB: Jackson Longridge

RCM: Kian Scales
CM: Levi Sutton
LCM: Harry Pritchard

RW: Dylan Mottley-Henry
CF: Clayton Donaldson
LW: Zeli Ismael

Couldn’t care less about the result, but it would be great to see the fringe lads do well.

FGR at home tonight. Early kick off at 5:30.

I expect a mix of youngsters and some senior players in the lineup. We’re still nursing a few injuries so players like Law, Caprice and Parkes won’t be risked.

Nicky Ajose will get a start, but MT has publicly said he’s currently our 5th choice striker, which is a bit damning considering he’s now behind Alex Fisher who isn’t the most prolific and Ben Seymour who doesn’t look good enough to me. I hope he scores to give MT a headache for Saturday. Not sure what’s gone on but they must have had a big fall out and he will be an expensive player to have in the ressies considering he’s one of our higher earners.

1-1 draw.

Mostly youngsters for us tonight apparently, no one actually cares though. Since this new format of 'B' teams being involved we've won one game and our gates have been pitiful because of well backed boycotts.

The team we beat? I hear you ask; Nottinghamshire County, remember them anyone!

Crawley away at Gillingham tonight. I'll check on the score now and then but ho hum.

Steve Evans has said we have a bigger budget than them!

Just seen we had a player injured in the masturbation for the conditioning coach ...sorry warm up.

In normal times we'd have got about 400 tonight based on previous B team crowds, 400 too many, but what with this being the first "competitive professional" game with fans back that will sadly be higher, but it looks like we've failed to shift the 1,000 tickets on sale, which in a depressing way is surprisingly positive.

Apart from a non-sellout, a defeat please.

Definitely a b team tonight, which is apt. 10 changes from Saturday, 2 17 year olds and an 18 year old in the side, only 1 player over 23.

Nearly missed it was sure it was 7:45pm KO!

Giving young Hurst and DTS a first start. Very experimental side that.
