We outsourced all the catering some times ago. Player sales would be it but they can all leave on a free now anyway so not sure there’s any profit in the club

Have any players walked then? Or gone on trial anywhere else?

They can walk away from their contracts but would forfeit all money owed to them. Seems entirely unfair to me but there we go.

Ardley seems to be doing a fairly miraculous job in holding things together to be honest, everyone is still here and playing.

Ardley is quietly heroic at the moment. He took all the shit for last season's debacle and is the last man standing now. Not Hardy, not the players, ex managers, fitness coaches, anyone. It's all on his shoulders and he's living away from home and family and not getting paid. He's not allowed to speak to the press and we look better than this time last year, fitter and more committed.
If a takeover over does happen above all else I hope Ardley keeps his job and is given all the help and time possible to succeed.

I would've probably sacked Ardley at the end of last season but wouldn't dream of it now, he's more than earned a proper chance to make this work assuming we do get taken over.

The fact multiple players are continuing to have trials with us makes you think someone must be telling them there is some kind of realistic future with the club... I hope.

So did we before he came in and started unloaded pies from his Tesla!

Pretty much anything is better than our current situation.

I keep saying it but I have my doubts that we will be bought by the Danes. I just don’t see 4m for the club, then taking on 10m in debt worth it. No way we ever pay those debts off unless we make it to the championship or discover the next Ronaldo

I’m one of the few fans who seems keen on a Phoenix club. The general appetite for it is low

Well done to the money raised yesterday. £2500 or so is a good effort and hopefully will help those involved.

It’s beggars belief that hardy has single handedly reduced notts county to beg at the gates of a fellow non-league club, madness.

He’s almost rising to the level of Keith Haslam

It looks like we might be there! Hardy cleared his belongings from ML today and it looks like it might go through on Wednesday.

Which would give us exactly ten days to pay everyone, pay the tax bill, pay for the new kit to be delivered, replace all the staff who have left and sign half a team.

Thinking of coming to the friendly tomorrow night as you're allowing us to pay on gate I believe. Any decent pubs for a few drinks during the late afternoon/eve?

Despite being local these days, I don't spend much time in Nottingam city centre other than for the odd meeting.

Loads - what kind of place/beers do you like?

You’ll definitely be able to pay on the gate btw, ground will be approximately 1/18th full.

So it looks like Alan has probably been spinning a few yarns. Amazing people and creditors continue to fall for it....

Evening post article basically says that Hardy updated there will be no takeover this week. This, despite telling local press on Monday that Wednesday was the day. This fits with the modus operandi so far of soon, trust, next 7-10 days.

The Danes exist but have they actually passed the fit and proper persons test? Have they actually made a bid? We have no idea as neither tge national League or FA will comment

What we have also seen is that the post believes that the fraudsters are back in for Notts. They want to look at land acquisition to buy Notts. Two problems exist with this. 1. The council owns the freehold on the land and are refusing to deal with this bid allegedly. Secondly the leasehold is owned by the Hayden Green Estate. They will under no circumstances deal with anyone whose intentions for Notts are not in the right place

All in all as time ticks on the simple fact is this. Hardy is essentially trying to flog a dead horse for race horse prices and in doing so, drags this out brinkmanship style. By doing this stands to essentially get nothing as the club lands in administration or worse liquidation

Further edit: there is some talk that creditors associated to the club like the Hayden Green Estate may seek for Notts to be placed into administration. To be honest I see this as the only way we can rebuilld. This or a phoenix club

Have the Danes come out and said anything? Surely it would have been a good opportunity to come out, state there intentions, whether they've passed the fit and proper persons test to get a decent reaction from supporters thus putting more pressure on Hardy.

The only consortium so far to have published an interest was the South Africans but they are long gone, supposedly frustrated by dealing with Hardy

The fraudsters have contacted a PR company who have allegedly written a statement for when they take over which is yet to be released. I'd imagine it will be something along the lines of 'nothing to worry about a convicted fraudster trying to buy your club for land development

Danes involvement is basically the fact that they've been pictured in the ground and they've taken out a 4m loan. Which is not enough to cover our debts btw. They were also referenced as the buyer by Notts solicitor in the last meeting.

We are due in court again on the 31st

Things are bad when the HG estate are considering forcing us into admin, probably writing off whatever they’re owed, just to try and save us.

I just want it to be over. If someone buys us will they actually pay off those debts? Unlikely. So we will just end up in this mess again. Administration is probably our best way out. As long as we survive as a club or even a Phoenix club that’s what matters

I genuinely believe all these tactics are purely about playing for time for someone to meet his asking price. There can’t be a definite buyer or it would have been done by now presumably

It’s a dangerous game. It’s going to end in tears for him regardless

What's the 'best' outcome for Hardy?

Admin or liquidation? Does one or the other stop him being liable for the Paragon loans or something? I'm assuming the latter definitely would?

I’m by no means an expert, but Paragon was a PLC, so I don’t think he’s personally liable either way.

The only outcome that really helps him is if he can sell it.

Promising news! Post reporting that the Haydn Green Estate threatening to force us into admin is forcing Hardy’s hand and he’s considering accepting a cut price bid from the Danes.

If everything else is agreed other than the price that is v positive.

A football club is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Seems that liquidation being a likely outcome has finally dawned on Hardy and he has realised he has to sell.

@Jacob -if its a PLC then hardy is not liable for the debts unless he's done something stupid. There was a post on MAD that insinuated he might lose his house, hence why he's trying to get the money. Only reason that would ever be true is if he personally lent money to Paragon PLC and that was backed up by a mortgage on his property and he could no longer service that loan. Its so tenuous its highly unlikely

I think directors of limited companies become liable for debts if they continue to trade insolvent, which Notts have been doing for at least a month now.

My guess is the Haydn Green estate have given a deadline after which they'll seek to put the club into administration and it will be out of Hardy's hands. Whatever happens in the next few days, having a ground owned by the council and lease owned by a family of supporters has given us a layer of protection that some of those involved in this mess never really appreciated.
