We had sold 1,500 by lunch time today, so would expect the 1,700 we've got to be gone by close of business today. Fabulous effort considering you can't get home on the train post-match without staying over!

Be disappointing if Blackpool don't give us some extra tickets, think we could sneak past the 2,000 barrier if allowed to do so.

Jason Kennedy is back!

All other playoff contenders can go home now, it's over, there's nothing for you here, enjoy League 2 next season.

Hard to say but I would guess around 35k maybe?

We sold the allocation and could have sold more if they'd have given it to us for the JPT back in 2008 or whenever it was, but there were a lot of favourable circumstances for it - first visit to the new Wembley (and first visit to any Wembley since 1994), ages to get tickets, (relatively) cheap tickets which helped encourage casual fans or just people to bring their non-Luton fan mates, a chance for a final display of defiance just before relegation from the FL was confirmed etc.

If memory serves we had around 30k for the Conference play-off final vs York three seasons later. That was our third play-off year in a row and we'd been dog-shit that season until the last couple of games, crowds had dropped right off so I like to think that was about close to our low-end for Wembley followings.

We haven't had a major final-type event in a good few years now or really anything to get much excited about for the past three seasons so I'd hope we'd take more than we did for the York game were we to get there. Only 10 days or so to sell tickets though and more expensive so who knows. Crowds have been down a bit this season home and away and it's fair to say a lot of people aren't overly enamoured with the current team/playing style so the circumstantial factors are probably closer to the York game than the JPT final. I'd be confident of being over 30k but anything over that I'm not sure.

Hopefully we'll get the chance to find out!!
We took 35k last year, but that is because we don't get out much!

We took about 24,000 to the Southampton game in 2010, then after the new Wembley novelty had worn off I think about 15,000 went against Brentford the following year.

I'm not sure how many we'll take for the playoff final, it's a long arsed journey and the fuck ups with the trains on the day may put a fair few off going.

OK, ahead of tomorrow's game I'm going to be controversial and say we should keep the diamond for Blackpool. A team that will give us more space to play on the ball. I'd go with this side (injuries permitting):

GK Stuart Moore

RB Stephen O'Donnell
LB Alan Sheehan
CB Glen Rea
CB Scott Cuthbert

DM Olly Lee
RCM Pelly Ruddock
LCM Lawson D'Ath
AM Luke Gambin

CF Danny Hylton
CF Isaac Vassell

Subs: Craig King, Dan Potts, Johnny Mullins, Jake Gray, Jonathan Smith, Jack Marriott, Ollie Palmer

Still not 100% sure about that midfield. A bit harsh on Marriott who's scored 3 times in his last 40 minutes of football, but they've been the top 2 strikers throughout the season.

Let's be honest, we've been pure and utter shit in 2017, utterly utterly atrocious, words can't do justice to just how bad we've been. Easily one of the worst teams in the football league.
Really?
Why have you not mentioned this before?

Can't wait for the game tomorrow, most important match in years for us. I hope we don't get a hiding and the tie to be over already, a draw wouldn't be a bad result considering Exeter are much better on the road than on home soil.

I'd say our game will be better viewing for the neutral, a packed out stadium and two entertaining sides going at it. 9000 sold in advance, with Exeter bringing 500+ supposedly.

I'd be a lot more confident if Jabo starts, such a key figure in this side. Nicky Adams was superb in the recent game at Exeter, a repeat tomorrow would be welcome.

Reuben Reid to score first and Carlisle to win 3-2 happened in both games this season, if anyone is after a 210/1 tip ;)

Our last two play off semi finals (both v Wrexham) we got very decent first leg leads. That has to be the game plan, but it wouldn't surprise me if it ended 0-0 today.

I'd take a draw in the first leg, I predict 1-1

Jabo is out of this match by the way. Massive blow I know but hopefully Proctor can end his Brunton Park drought.

Can't say I'm a fan of this mechanism that all play off revenues are shared amongst the four clubs. There's going to be about the same number of Blackpool fans in the ground as Luton fans. And supposedly they've only sold less than 100 tickets for the return leg so far.

I mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago before the Great OFF Fire 2017 that the monies earned for getting to the Wembley final is rubbish in comparison to what it should be. Less than 20% of ticket revenue will actually go the finalists - the rest will go to Wembley, the EFL and the other 22 clubs.

Think Exeter will go up out of the four, to think they were bottom and to where they are now is pretty damn good.

I want the strongest side out of the four to go up, and IMO that side is Luton, followed by Blackpool, Exeter and Carlisle in that order. If I didn't care for this, then I'd want Carlisle or Exeter, but I try to put my club's interests first and that means getting rid of the biggest threat.

Of course, this could mean nothing as we've all seen big sides fail to go up and then have a poor season the following year, but common sense dictates that the bigger clubs will always challenge at the top end year in year out. Likewise, we could struggle next year and won't trouble the top spots, so whoever goes up won't really affect us.

MY wife just said the same, but being from these parts said "blimey that's a long old poke for Exeter on a Sunday night."

I say hats off to the Exeter fans who made the trip.
