To be fair they have the history of the Alf Ramsay and then Bobby Robson eras mate, League champions, European glory.

Yeah Ipswich were good in the early 80’s. I remember them coming 5th around 2001 when they were just promoted. Marcus Stewart doing canny for them.

Pompey and Ipswich on a par for history I’d say. Very strange this kid.

Considering we’ve never won a UEFA cup or league title, you can safely put Ipswich above us.

That’s a pretty harsh red, a bit reckless but wasn’t that bad. Game changer that could be.

That last five minutes is cruel on Barnsley. Should have had a penalty and eleven men. VAR proving to be pointless again.

This officiating needs investigating.

Stone wall pen for Barnsley denied and followed-up immediately with a red card which is just never a red card.

If you don’t have VAR throughout the season why have it for the playoff final. Doesn’t seem right.

Barnsley have been done over. Seems to have fired them up mind you.

Never a red card, Plymouth in the Pizza cup Final should clearly have had two sent off, the fouls put Bolton players out for about 8 games a piece. Nothing between the teams up to now

Yeah I haven’t seen anyone online who thinks that was a red.

Missed it but these things still seem so subjective and won’t be changed unless the refs think there is a clear and obvious error which doesn’t happen often

Wednesday have been crap. No creativity in them whatsoever, the commentator loves creaming over Bannan every time he touches the ball. You’d think he was Ronaldo, not a former Aston Villa squad player

Fancy Wednesday to win this still, probably from a second ball at a set piece or something.

Yes seems harsh on the replay which VAR would have .

Championship, League 2 and National League Final all went to penalties too .

Wow that’s got to be the winner. Absolute killer for Barnsley but a lot of power on that diving header from Windass.

Remember Dean Windass scoring the winner for Hull in the Championship playoff final, now his son’s done the same for Wednesday in League 1.

Gutting for Barnsley that, especially as they had a couple of awful decisions go against them in the game. Keeper should save that really as well but in fairness he’s kept them in it until that point.

Gutting way to lose it last touch of fucking game before pens. Wasn’t a sending off (but obviously I’m biased). Have to say though that Wednesday finishing on 96 points deserve promotion, as much as I hate to admit it. Been a good season for us after the shitshow last term so let’s see if we can build on it.

Barnsley can be very proud. Mcconnell will be gutted he missed that mind. Fair play to weds tho for the last minute winner. However i was disappointed with Wednesdays performance and the long balls. Need to be better in the champ but i’m over the moon for them. Well done guys.

Hard luck Barnsley, that’s a horrific way to lose. Congrats to Wednesday though, deserved over the course of the season and the teams in L1&2 play offs have both gone up meaning the league could be interesting next season.

Potentially a more open season next season rather than the top 8 split?

Guess Sheffield W deserve it for their season but made it hard for themselves in the play offs !

Hard luck for Barnsley definitely .

Congrats Wednesday and all the best in the Championship. Always seems fairest when the highest placed team wins the playoffs.
