Shotsweb seem apoplectic, accusing us of being cynical, physical cheats all game. I remember one particular foul by Wallace that was a deliberate attempt to break up play, but I also remember some fairly dodgy fouls from Aldershot players. Were we really that bad? I don't remember it being a cynical game at all.

Kellerman flew over Hughes with a two footed lunge worse than 3 of the reds we've had this season but that wasn't mentioned on their forum of course.

Southampton were 3-0 up before we came back and won 4-3. They thought they were home and dry.

Nothing is over until it's over. We need to be professional on Saturday.
Agreed. Tipped us for a 5-1 aggregate win and still expect that as the end result though.

I'm sure the whole nation will be glued to this game instead of watching United in some tinpot european semi.

Chance to see superstars like Luke Guttridge and Liam Noble battle to DOMINATE midfield, mavericks like Jordan Maguire-Drew and Keanu Marsh-Brown show off their STUNNING skillz/tekkers and WORLD CLASS strikers like Ollie Hawkins and Christian Doidge go HEAD TO HEAD with a Wembley final at stake.

All in front of a crowd that could EXCEED 2000.

Exciting stuff.

Some of the posters there are notoriously one-eyed, yes Tranmere had a plan to stop us by whatever means, but that's fair enough and up to us to deal with. I didn't make the game due to work but had it on the telly, and managed to watch the recording today and I failed to see anything untoward, just plenty of old pros doing what they needed to to get a result. I have been told by a very reliable neutral source that Norwood was kicking and punched Alexander a couple of times off the ball to wind him up, but for me that's all part and parcel of the pro game.

I doubt he actually punched him given how much Kanu, Mensah and Benyu roll around when anyone even goes near them.

I thought the referee was fine really, ok he was a bit lenient but he was to both sides and to be fair he tried to let the game flow which he has done pretty much every time he refereed us this season. We lost because we conceded two howlers and then froze, that's football for you.

Coops really didn't want to give any praise to Tranmere, there! :2thumb:

Not going to big up his probably opposition, is he? As for the current game, Daggers started well, FGR look a bit wobbly at the back.

Yeah, thought Daggers were going to snatch a lead early on. They look dangerous.

Another bent refereeing decision in a national league playoff game? Colour me surprised.

Is it another bog-standard conference ref like last night?

Might be wrong but i'm sure I heard Still have a go at the referee for giving a penalty because its on TV as the players were going off for half time.

You could argue Daggers' goal is offside, the other guy definitely was involved in play and was definitely offside on the flick on. Also, there is a little heel clip for the FGR penalty... he did seem to already be falling at that point though.

Probably fair that it's level, both teams had their moments.

How did this clown get a game like this after the Chester v Tranmere game?
