Probably about as good as we could have hoped for. Certainly a long way to go, but a 2-goal cushion and a first-choice opposition player getting themselves suspended for the second leg is positive.

Big win that for Wycombe but Dons are obviously still in it. I think Wycombe are going to need to score at least one more to get through.

Didn't think Wycombe had to work particularly hard for their win tonight, wasn't a great game full stop really IMO.

Strange because even though Wycombe took 4 points off us and we beat MK Dons twice, I’d still rather play Wycombe if we got to the final.

We were comfortably the better team in both games and they seem to be better as a unit whereas MK have a few players who can produce that moment of magic.

This evening's game should be interesting. I'm expecting a cagey affair with neither team wanting to be out of it before the second leg. I fancy a draw.

No chance of a draw. The two games this season were 5-0 and 3-0 so both hammered the other at home. Can see there been plenty of goals in this.
I think 4-2 or 3-2 tonight to Sunderland and Wednesday to do the same in the reverse fixture.

Wouldn’t read too much into them scorelines. Seem to remember Sunderland were on a terrible run when we beat them and we were in the middle an injury crisis at the back in the away game. Only had 2 fit defenders on the pitch for 60 mins.

Have you seen Alex Neil's Sunderland, very very cagey but it has worked wonders for em

So eloquently put. I hope you and Devon Lad aren't the intellectual level of Exeters supporters. No wonder Plymouth fans view you as a stain on their landscape.
I think you have found their level. This forum should be lively next season then…

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Devon_Lad, I've had my issues with him.

I just don't like the franchise, winkleman, the town of mk, their shitty stadium or the people who attend their games.

They represent nearly everything I dislike about modern football. Can't wait for them to fold when winkleman finally cops it.

Don't take it personally but as a club MK fc fucking suuuuuuck.

My stance towards MK has softened over the years, but I still don't like the bastards.

I don't think he cares if you do to be honest.

You're making it sound like this is a new thing - surely as an MK fan you're used to it by now?

Like others - I think the World should move on from what happened, especially now there are things in place to stop it happening again, but I don't think that would automatically make MK anyone's second team. As much as I've moved on though, it would be lovely to see MK going bust because of how they were founded - I don't ever see it as likely though.

Thought Wednesday were doing a pretty decent job there until that fuck up right on half time.

That was terrible for 70 minutes. Sat so deep and couldn’t string any passes together. Moore got that wrong tonight. Gutting to give a goal like that away but on the other hand it could have been 4.

Still confident going into Monday, we were much better in the last 20/25 mins when Windass came on and we pushed up.

I think Wednesday are slight favourites for me. Key thing was to take it to the home leg and still in with a good shout which I think they’ve done. Think they’ll go on and get the job done now.

Personally thought we shudda won by two or three last night and thought weds played for a draw/low scoring defeat, which they got. Spoke to a weds fan walking out the ground who was with his young son who said they were shocking and he can’t see them turning it round playing like that and he wants Moore out. I don’t share his view and told him the second leg could easily turn very early if they score at a packed Hillsborough and then it changes everything. Only one half done so far and Monday we need more of the same as last night. Not getting a second last night could be the difference.

It really could of been 4. However i see it being a different game on Monday. Whoever goes through i want to go up. Great fans, spoke to a few of your lot last night and they were all spot on.
