I'll catch it on the network tomorrow, not worth staying up for, not excited for it at all.

Same. Should be a few decent matches though. Ambrose v Harper may surprise.

Bryan's been pulled as expected.

Yeah, I saw about Bryan as well... what's that all about? Not seen any details of what's actually wrong with him... hope to God it's not something to do with his neck again/him coming back to early.

I see BNB is fighting Neville on the preshow now instead. That could be ok, and at the very least, it's always cool to see Neville.

But yeah, Extreme Rules... not many matches really sound that interesting and even ones that could (Seth vs Orton) are hampered (a steel cage match, as I always say, is usually deceptively dull)... but then, WWE tends to have a habit of making it's lesser sounding PPV's surprise us and end up actually being very good. And Extreme Rules is usually great anyway.

Harper vs Ambrose looks to be the match of the night for me, on paper.

Meh show. Ambrose Vs Harper could have been booked so much better.
Ziggler vs Sheamus was pointless
Cena Vs Rusev was boring as hell.

Annoyed I sat up.

Eh, it was alright. Not quite as good as past Extreme Rules PPV's though.

The best match was probably the tag match. Fuck it, since they've been heel I love New Day. "What did we do?! WE'RE WINNING!!" I love that they've got the titles and I hope we get a good feud between them so we can get more matches. Between those two teams, the Usos and the Lucha Dragons, the tag division is looking pretty good again now.

Rusev vs Cena was probably the dud of the show. Reigns vs Big Show was dull at times... but honestly, I think that Reigns did all he could do but just couldn't drag The Big Show to his own level. Fuck it, Reigns was pretty great in the match actually (as he has been for 3 PPV's in a row now), it's just Big Show who seems to have no idea that people don't want to watch him slowly (And I mean SLOWLY) beat people up.

Orton vs Rollins was predictably made much worse by the fact that it was in a cage, but I did really like the last 10 minutes or so. The pedigree and RKO spots were very cool. Is this actually the first time somebody has actually beaten somebody with their own move?! :o

I think that Trips has won with others moves before!

Big show does need to retire.

I like Reigns as himself, not when i'm told to like him! He's been good for a while as himself, just not when rammed in my face.

Tag team has the strongest division in the WWe right now imo.

Tag division is actually quietly going under the radar, it's excellent at the moment with relatively 'modest' sets of tag teams. I'm just glad the Uso's aren't being shoved down our throat so much at the moment, as much as they are excellent, it's a 'no' from me. I thought the show was good, really great first hour, then it went south from yet another BORING Cena match, followed by an average divas match, a reasonable spotfest with Reigns and then a boring main event. Cage matches are joint with I Quit matches as hugely overrated.

Only 3 weeks until Payback...ummm..

Speaking of I Quit matches... Cena vs Rusev at payback... :ffs: Gonna be three in a row for Cena, then.

True, I guess you could count that

Was pretty strange watching a match between two men who'd both had their finishing moves banned for different reasons, though...

immediately after cena won that match, I was like 'hold on i thought if there was a stop in momentum from touching the corners, all the lights went off'. cena & rusev stared at each, then rusev went to punch cena, cena ducked and hit an AA, before hilariously (he can't sell reaching out or running) reaching to grab the last turnbuckle and win. that 20 seconds of moves should have been enough to turn all the lights out. Terrible booking.

and Cena v Rusev at Payback? god damn, they're really burying Rusev aren't they. Because facing Cena 3 PPV's in a row after Wrestlemania really gets your career on the right tracks doesn't it Bray Wyatt.

Alot of confusion on this, but it's simple really. The lights only go off if the momentum is stopped by the opponent, Cena stopped himself.

Now the cage match, is black hole city.

"No Dq" - This would mean that Orton could hit and RKO and wouldn't lose yes?

"RKO is banned" - Seth wins with RKO.

"RKO is banned" - Seth wins with RKO.

The thing is, I think it's supposed to be a bit vague and open to intepretation regarding that rule... if it's a case of "the RKO is banned", that should mean that anybody performing an RKO to anybody, would result in them losing the match... so on that basis, the match should have ended when Orton hit Kane with an RKO. Seth doing it and then escaping was meaningless as he'd already won by that point...

Or if it just means that neither man can RKO the other but can RKO anybody else as much as they like, then yeah, Seth loses...

But if it means that only Orton isn't allowed to use the RKO, then Seth wins...

I can sort of see what they've gone for. They've tried to make it "controversial" by making the rules unclear to try and create a buzz, sort of like in football where a big decision has a massive outcome or whatever.

Crappy PPV overall, thought the main event was just a bit dull. Orton and Rollins are both ace and confining them to a cage match was poor - I feel like they could've done the same thing with a TLC/Kane as special ref type match.

The Tag Team match was very crisp. Cesaro/Kidd is a fantastic combo and Kofi/Big E held their own too.
Neville/BNB was fine.
Ziggler/Sheamus was baaaaad.
Street fight....seriously? Fuck off with that booking when you've got Harper/Ambrose who can put on a good match
Cena/Rusev - shite gimmick match
Nikki/Naomi - Naomi's new 'thing' is pretty cool but whatever.
Reigns/Big Show - I thought both of them did a decent job to be fair but Last Man Standing matches are just terribly slow-paced and a Big Show and spot-fest are not two words I want to see together.

Oh yeah, I wanted to comment on Ziggler/Sheamus. What the hell happened there? Ziggler is obviously great, and I always feel like Sheamus is capable of having great matches, that one should have been easy to get a great match out of. Instead, it was about the most forgettable match of the show. Plus that "arse" (sigh) kissing stuff at the end took far too long.

Ziggler has been posting a couple of 'iffy' tweets recently, suggests that he may be leaving when his contract expires soon.

I thought Extreme Rules was class, I actually enjoyed all the matches, Rollins RKO'ing Orton was class.

Not that bad a PPV IMO.

Think the whole Seth using the RKO thing is to give Orton a reason for a rematch at Payback - if the RKO is 'banned' it could be for everyone so he has a claim for the rematch.

I am also loving New Day as heels. So hilariously irritating.

I wouldn't mind seeing the feud continue, but that promo for Payback totally makes it look as if the whole PPV will be based on Reigns getting "payback" on Rollins for what happened at WM. I find it pretty weird that Reigns would have that happen to him and then just pretty much accept it without wanting to tear Rollins apart. But then again, he seemed to do pretty much the same when Rollins turned on the Shield, leaving Ambrose alone to go after him. Reigns just can't seem to hold a grudge against Seth.

True, but a lot of the PPV promos turn out to be largely irrelevant to the actual PPV. Think there's been ones done by people that haven't even had a match on that PPV before.

Thought this was going to be a terrible PPV but I thought it was okay.

Reigns/Show wasn't as depressing as I thought it would be. Wasn't brilliant but seen worse.

Tag match was the best for me, really enjoyed that.

Wish my mate Bo would stop getting beat up though, poor kid.

Main event was a let down but as others have said that's always a risk with cages, was obvious Kane would get involved. Did enjoy the pedigree and Rko spots though.

Enjoyable PPV, The Show/Reigns and Harper/Ambrose matches were my highlights.

Comical highlight was Sheamus shouting "are you not entertained!?" after the "kiss me arse" match and the interminable umming and arring that followed the match itself.

Wow... I know that, to me, it certainly felt like Ambrose never wins matches... but I've just seen that him beating Harper at extreme rules was actually his first PPV win since The Shield broke up! I actually looked it up because it sounded too crazy to be true, but holy shit, it's right. That's crazy.

It does seem strange. Just after The Shield broke up, that Ambrose vs Rollins feud was probably my favourite feud in years and they had some amazing matches. At the time though, Ambrose was the best thing going for me... yet you look now, and you can't argue that they're sure as hell running with Reigns (winning the rumble and main eventing WM) and Rollins (current champion, cashing in at WM)... but compared to those two, Ambrose looks like an utter failure. It's about time he got the same treatment as those two I reckon...

I thought it was a pretty good PPV, tag match was great as was Ambrose/Harper, that was very entertaining and to be honest for me Reigns and Big Show was MOTN, I really enjoyed it, ending has been done before with Del Rio but still was good. Orton/Rollins got good time as well and wasnt as slow as some cage matches are, hell Kane is starting to entertain me again. Divas match was pretty good as well, Naomi is great to watch in the ring. I didnt see Cena/Rusev, was trying to find the next link and I accidentally skipped to the end of the match to see Cena celebrating so I thought screw it and didnt watch.
